Mom worked as a camp nurse, so I was able to go to camp for free. Mom had to pass out meds every meal and this was her setup. She had the go-cart so she could get wherever she she needed to if she was in a hurry, had an injured person, or had lots of stuff to take. She also worked in the health center, taking care of sick people or people with injuries. Every night, I would go with Jacey, and Iwould get my expander turned and Jacey would get her medicine. We both got hugs every night.
Pink, red, black, blue, green, yellow, and purple teams competed in games such as archery, digging in the sand, wheelbarrow apple roll and water pouring race. The team that got to the finish line first won. For some of the races, we all had to do them and for others, people were chosen to complete the task. Jessica held my feet while I did the apple roll with my nose. The purple team came in second! Go purple!!
 Warren Sand Dunes
The water was freezing cold, so we didn't swim long. I climbed up to the top of a huge dune, which was hard work, but coming down I thought I could fly.
Field Trip to Formula K in Kalamazoo. I drove go-karts, rode rides, played games, and ate a soft yummy pretzel.

I was chosen to be judge for 'Dancing with the Staff' where cabin counselors competed for the title.
Each cabin was given a theme, and the cabin dressed up. The theme for our cabin was "Princess". Hmmmm, not my favorite! Anyway, it was a fun party!
The animal species Sophius Tillus in her natural habitat. Notice how the subject has evolved at its camp setting, learning the necessary skill of cleaning up after itself, a valuable evolutionary advantage ensuring this species will thrive and flourish even after a southern migration.

Color Wars | with Nina Barbieri my camp sister | The last 3 days of camp we have color wars. All cabins are divided into teams of blue and white. There are competitions over the entire 3 days, and scores are kept. The team with the most points at the end of the three days wins color wars. For the last few years, blue has won, and blue won again this year. The final event is 'burn the rope' where the teams collect sticks and bark and the team leaders light a fire. There is a rope above the fire and the team whose rope burns first wins!
