4: A is for Austin City Limits (ACL) Austin City Limits is a music festival in Austin, Texas. It is usually held during the month of September. this year will be ACL's tenth anniversary. one of the bands is called "Monsters of Folk". One year Willie Nelson played in ACL .

5: B is for th Bob Marley Fest The Bob Marley Fest is a festival. It was held in Austin, Texas in 2011. Bob Marley is a famous reggae singer. On his last tour in Europe in 1980, he brought in record breaking numbers. Bob Marley is a Solo Artist that was born in Jamaica.

6: C is for the Choir at HCMS The Choir at HCMS is in the band catagory It is located at Hill Country Middle School in Austin, Texas. It is an elective that is available to Sixth grade, Seventh grade, and Eighth grade.

8: E is for Evangalines Evangalines is a live music venue. It is a Cajun cafe. One of their top sellers is fried Alligator. they also sell gumbo and other normal things you would find. another one of their top sellers are frog legs. You can choose to have your frog legs boiled in a Tabasco sauce or to have them fried. they are delicious.

9: F is for Freddie Fender Freddie Fender is a solo artist. He was born in San Benito, Texas. he was a Hispanic/pop singer. the first music he learned how to play was Tejano, and polka music. he joined the marines when he was sixteen. he is now a famous singer.

10: G is for Galveston (song) "Galveston" is a song about Galveston, Texas. It is in the country and western genre. This song was written by songwriter Jimmy Webb. It was performed by Glenn Campbell. "Galveston" was written during the Vietnam war. it was considered an anti-war song. This song made the top-ten list of all country and western songs.

11: H is for the Hcms Music groups The HCMS Music groups are three different bands. These bands include; th HCMS Choirs, The HCMS Bands,, and The HCMS Orchestra. The band at HCMS is one of the top five middle school bands in Texas, The HCMS Orchestra is also one of the top five middle school orchestras in Texas, and sme with the HCMS Choir.

13: J is for the Jessen Auditorium Jessen Auditorium is a live music hall. It is located in Austin, Texas. It is located on the UT campus. It is near one of my favorite restaurants, Threadgills (world headquarters). it is also very close to a pub called B.D. Rileys. Jessen Auditorium is also known as Homer Rainy Hall.

14: K is for Kings Of Leon The Kings Of Leon are a band. One of the people in it just got married to a Victoria's Secret supermodel. All of the people in the band are brothers. One of them is a new father. Their names are Caleb, Nathan, Jared, and Mathew.

15: L is for a song called Luckenbach, Texas Luckenback, Texas is a song about a town called Luckenback, Texas. This song was sung by Waylon Jennings. It is a pop song. Often sings about Texas. he has sung more than fifteen songs.

16: M is for Barbara Mandrell Barbara Mandrell was a famous singer. She has over 75 major awards. Her last performance was in October of 1997. Barbara Mandrell is freinds with Reba McEntire. Her father passed away on March 5 2009.

17: N is for Natalie Maines Natalie Maines is a famous singer. She was born on October, 14 1974. She was born in Lubbock, Texas, (that is where I was born!). Natalie Maines knows how to play the twelve string acoustic guitar and the omnichord. She has homes in L.A. and down here in Austin. Natalie has four pets including a pet pig!

18: O is for Old Settlers Fest This is a live music festival. It is usually from April 14 to April 17. There are many different people that play music there. Some of the musical artists that have played there are Grammy winners. At this festival there are also arts and crafts booths, camping activities and much much more.

19: P is for the Westlake P.A.C. (Performing arts center) The Westlake PAC is located at Westlake High School in Austin Texas. There are many performances there. Even the HCMS band plays there for formal concerts. this is in the live music venue catagory. It has 800 seats.

20: Q is for Quacks 43rd Street Bakery Quacks 43rd Street Bakery is a live music venue in Austin,Texas. Quacks 43rd Street Bakery was inspired by a bakery and coffee house that was in business in the 1980's. It was the first coffee house in Austin. They mostly sell espressos. They now sell drip coffee and French Pressed coffee. They also sell different decorated cookies and cakes.

21: R is for Rusty Wier Rusty Wier is a famous singer. Rusty Wier was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. He has lived in Austin for many years. Rusty signed his first recording contract with ABC Records. He later signed many record deals with several other companies.

22: S is for South by South West (SxSw) SxSw is a music festival in Austin, Texas. last year over 1,000 people went to SxSw. At SxSw there are also skits, marketing showcases and many other things. Some people sponsor musical artists to perform in certain locations. you can get a pass to go all of the days that it is open and see everything, or you can see one day.

23: T is for "Texas our Texas" (the song) Texas our Texas is a song. It is the state song. It was composed by William J. Marsh of fort worth. It was adopted by the Texas Legislature in 1929. It was a contest to see who could write the best song. The song is composed of three verses and a chorus.

24: U is for the U.I.L. Music Fest The U.I.L. Music fest is an annual festival held in Texas. It is where many different school bands and other U.I.L. groups come together for a competition. The music fest is on another date than the academic fest. The schools with winners get trophies. many people win and many people lose.

25: V is for the Velveeta Room The Velveeta Room is a live music venue. It is located in Austin, Texas. Only people that are 18 and older are allowed in the Velveeta Room. In the Velveeta room, open mic. nights and comedy nights are done. some people do not like this place but many people enjoy going there.

26: W is for Willie Nelson Willie Nelson is a famous singer. He used to take drugs. His birthday is on the fourth of July. He helped to make Luckenbach, Texas famous. He used to not pay his taxes. He also Has played at many rodeos.

27: X is for "Under The X In Texas" (song) Under the X In Texas is a famous song about Texas. It was once sung by Johnny Gimble. It was also sung by many other famous Texas singers. Another person who sang it was Willie Nelson himself. It was also sung by Waylon Jennings.

28: Y is for the "Yellow Rose of Texas" This is a famous song. Originally conceived as a folksong in early Colonial Texas history, the first recorded copy of the "Yellow Rose of Texas" was handwritten on a piece of plain paper circa 1836. Historical records indicate this copy was most probably transcribed either shortly before or just after General Sam Houston lead his brigade of Texas loyalists against the army of General Santa Anna.

29: Z is for the Zack Brown Band They are a famous band. They are a country music group. Most of the people in the group were born in Georgia. They have had several concerts in different places in Texas. Zack Brown (the main dude) was the 11th child in his family out of 12.
