31: DID WE TAKE ENOUGH PICTURES OF OUR HOME BEING BUILT ON PEONE PRAIRE?
37: When I look back on it now, we were very young to have our dream home built and I might add financially strapped. Keith Steele, Sam's former Deer Park Branch President and a long time friend built it for us. On the edge of Peone Prairie in one acre estates. Gentlemen farming, it was termed. Sarah was only 5months old and during the 13 years we were there, we added 5 more children. We developed that little piece of ground, with Sam building a garage with root cellar and workshop. a small barn that was originally someones garage that we removed from land that was cleared for a new Safeway store in the Gonzaga area. This little barn was the bases for chickens and rabbit raising, neither too successful as I recall. We also added a front yard orchard of dwarf fruit trees. Huge raspberry garden. A large garden of grow boxes where we raised vegetables which we canned. I counted 700 bottles that we did one year.
