1: Merry Christmas 2010 Grammy got a new set of Iowa pool table balls and a few new garden flags. Bob Sass made the stained glass Iowa hanging, so we had him make one for poppy. Lori made Rob a jar to hold Myster's ashes. We liked it so much. And Mitchell, of course, got his container of coins and some new Iowa things. | G rammy | Mitchell - age 13 | Poppy | Rob

2: Happy Holidays Lori made me a fruit-veggie bowl to match my kitchen...Mitchell is holding it showing the yellow inside--and she also gave me a MICHE purse...love it. Grammy gave me a new lounging outfit. love it, too. | 2010

3: Christmas with Aunt Karole 12-25-10

4: We always enjoy spending time with Aunt Karole... especially at the holidays. | It was so thoughtful of Grandma Bonnie to help Mitchell make this neck warmer...filled with rice. He made it just for me...thanks, babe.

5: It was a bittersweet day for Melanie as she prepared Sara and the other nurses for her ESA departure. Welcome to Mommyhood... Best Wishes to Melanie and Craig...

9: After all the hustle and bustle of the holidays and birthday, we decided to just start ripping apart the kitchen... We'd been thinking about it for awhile ... so I told Rob just go get the saw and start cutting... then we'd have no other cholce than to remodel...so we did... these are all BEFORE pictures.

15: Our very first proud moment of 2011 was helping Mitchell prepare for his driver's permit. It was a great day as we left the station... permit in hand. It's official, we have a new driver in the family. | 21 JAN 2011

17: Today the kids were conducted by Mr. William Owens. William Owens is a native of Gary, Indiana. His career as a music conductor spans over two decades, and he is very active as a composer, clinician and conductor throughout the United States and Canada. Since 1993, Owens has written over one hundred works for concert band, string orchestra and small ensemble. His music is programmed at prestigious venues such as the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic, and appears on required music lists both nationally and abroad. Principal commissions include those from the California Band Directors Association, the Florida Bandmasters Association, the Iowa Bandmasters Association, the Chicago Public Schools Bureau of Cultural Arts, and the Texas University Interscholastic League. His compositions "Courtlandt County Festival" and "Maesong" are recorded and analyzed in educational text by the GIA series Teaching Music through performance in Band. Owens is a repeat winner of the ASCAPlus Award, and a two-time recipient of the Forrest L. Buchtel Citation for Excellence in Band Composition. 21: Yay... a free day to play | I got all bundled up to play, then all Mitchell wanted to do was push me down in the snow. | HELP! I've fallen and Mitchell won't let me up!!
