BC: Until next time.....
FC: The Great Outdoors | "Becoming an Outdoor Woman" BWCA Trip June 16-19, 2011
CANOEING | Our navigation system! | The Crew: Jean Bergren Kay Okey Marsha Carolyn Polm Terry Swanson
Almost there | "under the kevlar" | Nice portage trail | Carrying a Kevlar was a new (and great) experience! We paddled to our first portage and conquered it like pros!
Teamwork | I love the views | Our journey began at Lake One. This was our first portage.
Loading up the canoes after the first portage. The second portage is a short paddle to the end of this pond.
 Another portage conquered!
Finding a Campsite is not always easy | Getting a late start on the water, we paddled Lakes One, Two and Three while looking for a campsite. A forest fire had a few sites closed so we paddled on. We decided to try portaging into Horseshoe in hopes of finding a site, but first we stopped to make dinner as we were all very hungry! We found a site on Horsehoe
Home Sweet Home! We found our campsite on Horseshoe and made it our home for a few days.
Carolyn made us a wonderful birch trail to the lat so we would not make a wrong turn when nature called LOL
 The views of Nature
Enjoying time at camp - making new friends and enjoying nature
Our friendly visitor. After dive-bombing us he landed in the water then came for a wander around camp
Kay gave fishing a try at camp. While she caught no fish, she was great entertainment when she cast her line and the end of her pole went flying!
Our days were filled with good food, great weather, new friendships and Nature!
It wouldn't be a Boundary Waters trip without rain! | We started as women who did not know each other. We ended with friendships that will last a lifetime
