Global warming global warming is the biggest problem with the earth today. One of the main problems that is wrong with the world is, the glaciers that have been on the earth for millions of years on the poles, they are melting some of which are almost a mile thick and miles long, if they were to melt the ocean sea level would rise dramatically.

. | In the future, states that are on the coast could eventually be underwater. The sea level could rise almost 25 feet. which is enough to push the water almost 2 miles inland. Which is enough water to almost cover 1/3 of Florida. And most of the united states And other countries that are on the coast line will be almost a mile inland.

Most scientists think global warming is caused by people because the fossil fuels that people are using when u burn them they send carbon into the atmosphere and the chemicals that are in the atmosphere are creating a hole in the ozone layer. of the atmosphere and that hole is letting heat come into the atmosphere and it is being trapped in the earth.

and that is creating more and more heat(greenhouse gases). scientist think this is the theory about how the earth is being heated global warming is causing some species to be endangered and causing some to go extinct an example of this is the polar bear the polar bear relies on the ice bergs that are being melted by global warming because,

the seal at which they eat live and make dens in the sea ice and the polar bears walk around and hunt them and if the ice where to disappear. then the seals would be able to stay in the open water and would be nearly impossible to hunt. Another way this would affect the bears is they rely on the ice for shelter.

Scientists think that the earth is almost at the point where it is non reversible. but other scientists think that the earth is just doing what it has been doing for millions of years, the earth could be going through a warming stage the earth goes through ice ages all of the time is it possible that the earth is going through warming stage instead of a cooling one?,

A "warming" stage is supposably what wiped out the dinosaurs, but that is arguable. But Either way you look at it the earth is getting warmer and there is pretty much nothing humans can do about it except wait and see.
