BC: A family is pieced together with hope and faith. A family is quilted and bound with love and grace.
FC: Kreg and Tami
Before you read any further prepare to..well, prepare to find a regular family. We are Kreg and Tami and we live in the country, just outside of town, on acreage in NW Wisconsin. We believe that a little dirt never hurt anybody, humor and love will get you through the tough times and that experience is the best teacher in life. We would love to complete our family through adoption and share our lives with a child.
Although our personalities are somewhat different, Tami is more talkative and outgoing and Kreg is more mechanically-inclined and hands-on, we fit together comfortably from the start. We got married in 1996 and, like any other couple we have our moments, but we still have a lot of fun. | We met in 1993, in Iowa, at a country bar where Tami liked to dance. Kreg was new in town and playing darts. Tami challenged him to a game and beat him bad! So of course, we had to play again.
Our great dane, Babe and cats Sammy and Ike can't wait to have a little brother or sister to play with.
We are active and like to do a wide variety of activities and enjoy a lot of hobbies together, with our friends, and separately. Together we really like to boat and fish on the lakes around our area. Two years ago, we put in a big garden together and we found out that we both enjoy it a lot. Kreg pulls the weeds and keeps the plants growing and Tami does the picking and the canning. Our home-made pickles are so good, we can hardly eat store bought anymore!
We enjoy all the seasons where we live. Our boat goes in the water as soon as the ice is off the lake and we love enjoy the outdoors on snowmobile in the winter. But we love the old vintage machines the best.
Kreg enjoys long rides on his motorcycle and riding the trails with his four-wheeler. This year he restored Tami’s vintage snowmobile that her Dad gave her and we are both looking forward to riding it next year. He loves to hang out in his garage and watch football and NASCAR. He even got to a race in Bristol, TN two years ago and can’t wait to go back.
She also loves to take hikes and bike rides with her best friend Nicole and sew. Lately, she has been making memory bears to remember people’s loved ones and honor special moments. | Tami is a golf nut, who likes to play a couple times a week in the summer. She met her golfing buddies while she was stranded in the Minneapolis airport four years ago and they have been friends ever since.
We like to travel and see new places. Tami's job has taken her from Alaska to California and everywhere in between, but South Florida is still our favorite.
We think where we live is pretty cool too, and we love to go down to the harbor to watch the big ships come in.
Both of our families are big and extended. Tami has a younger sister and brother and a very large extended family. Kreg has four sisters and a brother and two step-brothers.
 Our Dads have both passed
We have thirteen nieces and nephews ranging in age from 23 to 1. The baby Emma isn't pictured.
Many of Tami's aunts, uncles and cousins on her Dad’s side live close to us. Every year that side of the family rents out a church camp for the weekend and everybody comes and “camps out” for the weekend. We have a lot of fun.
Coach Tami with one of her favorite speech competitors. Tami and Kreg's friends Chris and Rob. Tami and Chris met in college and Emily (right) is Tami's God daughter. | Tami jokes around with their friend Lisa's daughter on a trip to Sea World.
Kreg and his friends like riding or restoring anything with a motor. They also enjoy fishing from time to time. | Celebrating each others birthdays is something that Tami and her friends like to do. They especially like surprising each other.
Kreg operates his own motorcycle, snowmobile, and ATV repair business and really likes working for himself and providing his customers with great service. | Tami directs a center at a local college dedicated to healthcare innovation and enjoys working with people all over the country, especially on rural health issues.
We found this rocking chair on one of our garage sale trips. It is ready for lots of lullabies. | Our nursery is just waiting for little dreams and wishes.
There you have it, a pretty regular family who has tons of love, fun and memories to give to a son or daughter. It is our desire to be open and honest about our child’s adoption and answer any questions age-appropriately, always with respect and an understanding of the love that you have for your child. We are hoping to share pictures and letters throughout our child’s life and are open to visits. No matter what level of contact we have, you will always be a treasured member of our extended family.
