S: DAVID duck

1: One day, David duck and his brothers and sisters were born. They began to swim around the pond to explore their new environment.

2: They were very happy playing games in the water and having a good time, but mama duck said it was time to get out of the water.

3: David duck was in a part of the pond that he wasn't allowed in so he got behind from the rest of the group.

4: David duck started to get worried about getting lost, so he began to swim faster.

5: David duck started to catch up, but then his foot got caught in some trash.

6: David duck was still stuck when he saw his greatest fear, a scarlet snake. | His mom had told him how dangerous these poisonous snakes were as they slithered through trashy areas of the water.

7: A plastic bag was stuck on David duck's foot and he couldn't move at all. The snake began to get closer and closer which made David duck panic.

8: Finally his foot came free just before the snake could bite him so he swam as fast as he could back to his mother and his siblings.

9: His mom was very upset after she heard where David duck had been, but she was so happy that he was okay.

10: Now David duck's mother was determined to find a solution to this trash problem. She did not want any of her precious babies to get hurt by the nasty snakes.

11: David Duck's mother contacted a bunch of her people friends to help clean up the trash | They got together and made posters and signs to help prevent people from trashing the pond | Then they organized a group of volunteers to plan to clean up the trashy parts of the lake.

12: The next day the group of volunteers got together and cleaned the pond

13: The snakes ended up moving out, and the waters were clean

14: Every part of the lake was safe at last and David's mother didn't worry about David swimming anymore because all the snakes were gone

15: Although trash sometimes still | polluted the waters, groups of | volunteers occasionally got together | to clean it up, and David lived happily ever after!
