On the drive to Paris, six hours from where we lived in Schweinfurt, Germany. Matt drove the whole way but once we got to the Paris city limits I took over. To us, France looked a whole lot like Germany which was sort of disappointing.
We went to Paris the day after Thanksgiving. We thought we would be economical and pack the Thanksgiving leftovers for the trip not realizing they would need a microwave. Instead of eating it on the road we waited 'til the hotel so it had warmed up on it's own. No forks meant having to eat using a plastic cup that we scooped the food up with!
Our first glimpse of the Louvre!
These paintings were MASSIVE! Especially compared to the teeny tiny Mona Lisa (not pictured)
Inside the Louvre | My future home! :-)
Our Hotel! | The teeny "romantic" elevator | Smooches!
Eating our yummy sandwiches from Starbucks! We hadn't had Starbucks in nearly six months.
The Louvre museum where we waited daily for our "Hop on Hop off" Tour bus | The con-artist were bad here. We watched the "ring lady" try and scam couple after couple by trying to sell them fake rings after pretending that they "dropped" them!
Keeley was in love with the apartments in Paris!
Keeley's favorite building- the Paris Opera House
The Paris Ritz- the last place Princess Diana was before she died.
Our only experience with French food was not too impressing. This panini, salad, and fries cost us a LOT and weren't that great. After this trip we stuck with McDonalds the rest of the time. Neither of us cared for the drinks either. The wine was too warm and dry!
The Louvre in Daylight We love the Dan Brown book, DaVinci Code, so we went and saw the Rose Line.
 Notre Dame Cathedral
The lopsided Christmas tree outside of Notre Dame. This plaza outside the cathedral was littered with beggers and con-artist as well but beautiful regardless.
 Musee D'Orsay
 Paris at night
Paris at night is absolutely breathtaking. Even in the freezing weather of November we couldn't resist getting out and riding the bus around just to see the brilliant lights.. After six months in Schweinfurt, where everything closes at 6pm, we loved being in a city that was still awake past midnight
 Paris Opera House at night
 Love | Romance
Kiss me under the Eiffel Tower
While we were in Paris the movie New Moon came out. This movie wasn't released in Germany yet so we found a theater that was playing the movie in English with French subtitles. Cool experience!
Inside the Musee D'Orsay | We liked this museum more than the Louvre. It had more modern art such as Van Gogh and art from the sixties. It was our last stop in Paris!
 Au Revoir Paris!
