1: Major Cities | Lima is the capital of Peru | Arequipa is the second largest city in Peru. | Trujillo is a cultural city and home of many poets. | Chiclayo is a huge tourist center.
2: Indigenous Groups | The Incas: | The Incas were divided into 4 suyos(counties) which are Antisuyo(east), Chinchaysuyo(northwest), Collasuyo(south). | They had a king who governed the town. He was the son of the God Inti(the sun) so he was considered fair and never made mistakes | They had an army but they tried not ot fight in town because they just wanted to improve their lives not obtain alot of power.
3: Historical Sites | The first stone of the Cathedral was placed by Francisco Pizarro(conqueror) | The Cuidad Blanca was given its name because all of their houses and buildings are made in white ashlar. | The Cantallon Aqueduct was built to have easy access to water because the desert was so dry it was the only place they could get water at.
4: Celebrations/Festivals | Fiesta De La Cruz(Festival of the Cross) has a cross procession, dances, and folk dancing. They have "scissors dancers" who perform on top of churches. | June 24th: Inti Raymi is the most impressive and biggest celebration which is for the Sun who is a very important God to the Incas. They start with a ceremony then later around noon they sacrifice 2 llamas.
5: Traditional music/Dancers | Huayno is the traditional music of Peru it was first created by the Inca. They use high pitch vocals, harps, mandolin, guitar, and many other instruments. They also used any resources they found to make music with

7: Sports | Soccer and volleyball are the 2 most played sports. | They also have bullfighting, cockfighting, boxing and racing | Peru also has surfing, white water rafting, and many mountain activities.
8: Famous People | Mara Julia Mantilla was crowned Miss World in 2004 and lives in Trujillo | Mauro Mina was a Light Heavyweight boxer known as the best Peruvian boxer he was known as "Bombardero de Chincha"
9: Food | They also use alot of potatoes in their foods because they originated in Peru. | Fish and shrimp are the main food that people in Peru eat. | Papas Rellenas | Ceviche
10: Art | Wood carvings, stone sculpture, pottery painting, and much more are part of the Peruvian art. | In the Inca Art they painted religious figures and they were plain and simple
