1: Religion Zulu's religion revolves around ancestor worship. Ancestors of the Zulu are believed to live in UnKulunKulu. This place is to be said as the "Greatest of the Great" This is the separating line between the human world and the spirit world. The Zulu also believe that spirits live in animals also in the forest in the caves.The Zulu believe that the female spirit Inkosozana is suppose to make maize grow for the Zulu cool huh. If a family member is lost in a Zulu family they must be remembered or bad luck will come to the family if they are not remembered interesting isn"t it.
2: Language Zulu is the 11th most spoken language in South Africa. About 10,622,305 people speak Zulu and those are the first language speakers. Zulu is also the most numbered in first speakers of the language. The language is mostly spoken in Kwazulunatal. Examples HI: Sawubona How are you:Unjani I am fine:Ngikhona Goodbye:Sala Kahle
3: Food Anizi is a main dish in Zulu cuisine. It is a milky liquid and it can only be eaten by family members. Beer is also a well known beverage by the Zulu. The first day coarse sorgham is soaked in water for the day. The second day it is boiled and dry sorgham is added to the mixture. The third day it is brewed and consumed by the family members. The beer has a 3% alcohal count and it is refreshing and nutritious. There are even special huts that have semi- tatched holes in the roof so that the steam from the brewing goes out the top and the mixture has a good amount of oxygen. Zulu cuisine has over 40 different dishes even though they are mostly vegetarian even if the Zulu's love meat. Cabbage , Tomatoes and Onions are used in there dishes when they are available. Zulu's have a lot of food don't they.
4: Interesting Facts Zulu is the Largest ethnic group in Africa. The Zulu are known by there colorful beads and basketry. In the 17th and 18th century chiefs of the Zulu gave power to Britain. There are about 7 million people in the Zulu Tribe.
6: Attractions/Architecture | Zulu and Zulu shields have become well known all around the world. Zulu raise cattle and farm corn, vegetables for substance purposes. The men and herd boys are all mostly responsible for cows, Witch are grazed in the open country.The Zulu architecture and Zulu people are highly capable of many things and what ever they are worked to do they get the job done.
7: Art | Zulu art is very complex and organized they take time and pride in there art work and architecture. They make jewelry out of beads and they make there own home made pots and masks and they make all of this stuff by them self hand made
8: Entertainment | Zulu entertainment well hmm it kinda gets you thinking what do Zulu people have for a life style entertainment. Zulus have Tvs well the ones that can afford them anyway. The Zulu teenagers if they don't have money they go to there local and cheap movie theatre and would then have an awesome time as Zulu teenagers explain
9: Politics/Goverment | The most political rule in the Zulu land is That NO marriage fully permanent until a child , including a baby boy is born Zulus also have many rights as we American's do as well Zulu people have rights of the Goverment society
10: Athletics/sports | Sports of Zulu well one of the main Zulu sport is soccer boys and Zulu girls learn soccer from watching there older brother or sister and many Zulu children swim competive if they have a near by lake or pond near there homes
11: Clothing/Dress | The everyday Zulu clothing is really no diffrent from any other clothing But however the traditional clothing is always bright and very colorful and the Zulus make them or design there clothing by hand them selfs
12: Zulu made many things but most things out of all they enjoy making there clothing they make all sorts of designs and they just love to make what they wear they also make and create baskets and accesories. | Inventions
