2: I'm Buddy, I was less than 2 lbs when a construction worker found me & carried me in his lunch box to a nearby vet. They said they couldn't help but a nice lady Patty who was there had a friend Melissa who said I could come live at her house. It was a good thing because I was way too tiny to survive all alone.

3: For a few days all I did was sleep & eat. I missed my family but at least I had someone to take care of me, which was much better than being all by myself.

4: It couldn't replace cuddling with my brothers & sisters, but my puppy friend was better than nothing. Having someone my own size helped me to not feel as lonely. Plus I never had to compete with him for food or attention!

5: The best part about my new home was how safe it was. There were no scary machines or unfriendly animals and I never had to worry about getting too hungry or cold. | Soon I was ready to explore outside of my box!

6: Here I am in my bed playing with my first toy mouse.

7: Here I'm practicing my scratching. Melissa only had to show me one time before I could do it all by myself. | Miss Patty came to visit to see how much I'd grown & was very impressed with my little belly. Plus she had really cool toys on her ankle that were good for chewing and playing; I just wish she would have left one with me to keep! | Here I am just looking over the side of my climbing mountain. It was good for lots of different things.

8: After awhile I was tired of milk & ready for some real food. I sure made a mess but boy was it yummy!

9: Getting my own bowl made eating easier but it didn't make me any less messy!

10: Just some climbing & cuddling! | Here I had made quite a mess with the toilet paper. It sure was fun, though!

11: When I was a few months old we found out I had something called FIV in my blood. I didn't look or feel sick but we didn't want me to get Melissa's other cat sick so with a lot of hard work she found me real nice home with another cat with FIV who wanted a friend just like me. This picture is when Melissa came to visit few months later.

About This Mixbook

  • Title: The Little Book of Buddy
  • Yes, I am aware that the entire little "book" repeats itself. Here's why: This book ended up almost half of the required length needed for printing. Not knowing this was an issue until I was checking out & not having much to add (& not wanting to redo/ spread out the whole thing), rather than having blank pages added at the end I duplicated the pages I'd already made & figure I can perhaps reassemble/rebind the contents into two smaller "books" after I recieve it:-).
