BC: Did I do that?
TOOK BOOK A Tail of A Tiny Kitten by Louie Shellenberger 2012 Published by Buzzard Designs
Once there was a tiny kitten. He couldn’t find a home! First, he was taken from his brothers and sisters, to a house with two dogs!
Then his kindly mail carrier took him home with her, but there were too many cats! Finally he found a wonderful place to live, complete with a big brother, Apollo.
He was a curious, playful kitten, intently studying his surroundings.
Sometimes, he would run and attack and play with something that no one else could see. He would jump straight up into the air for no reason.
The little kitten loved to play. He had other kitty friends, like Gertrude. He had many favorite toys.
Apollo wasn’t always happy with a new baby brother, but he tolerated the tiny kitten, and let him play with his fluffy tail, and sneak up on him, and attack from behind.
Eventually he allowed the kitten to sleep near him. Apollo began to teach the little kitten about hunting. He was a rather unconcerned teacher.
At first it was very scary going outside!
But, soon it was fun, and there was a lot to explore.
So many new experiences. Trees could be a challenge! Soon Fall came, with first frost.
And then the snow came! It was deep, and cold!
Sometimes he just wanted to snuggle
 or wrestle.
Christmas was another interesting time. There were lots of fun things to play with.
The tiny kitten needed a name! Since he was a gray tiger-striped kitty, someone had named him Blue Tiger. But, it just didn’t seem to fit. | He loved his people, and always wanted their attention. When he did something silly
and they would say, "You're so cute!" he learned to do it over and over. He became a fool for them!
All the cute and silly things that he did . . . | . . . lead to his new name: Peregrin Took. | Peregrin Took was a character | in the epic tale "The Lord of the Rings."
He was a hobbit who was always doing silly things, | earning him the nickname, “That fool of a Took!” | Now Tookers had the perfect name!
