S: And they lived happily ever after...
BC: It doesn't matter where you go in life, what you do ..... it's who you have beside you.
1: How We Met It took us a couple times before we actually "met." The first night Jessica saw Billy was on August 3, when she was walking through a bar called Tiki located on Wall Street in Orlando. When she met the eyes of this gorgeous guy, she smiled. When walking past him he said "I'm Billy" followed by "you're pretty" After introducing herself, Jessica told him he was pretty too. That would be the end of their encounter... at least for 7 whole days! The following weekend the two went to Wallstreet again. Jessica held out on a little ounce of hope that their paths would cross again. She saw him from a distance, but couldn't work up the nerve to talk to him. While leaving Wall Street, Jessica saw Billy walking right beside her and Sara. Within seconds, Billy commented on a Belly Dancing panhandler. Jessica turned and said to him "be careful what you say, that's my mom" Everyone knows how gullible Billy is.. he asked me if she was telling the truth and then introduced himself. I told him that I already me him last week and he replied with this line... "I think I'd remember a girl with that blonde hair and those pretty blue eyes..." haha! We talked for a couple minutes more and the whole world stood still. Billy got my number and tried to make plans with me the next day. Unfortunetly, our date had to wait until Friday because I was headed out of town. On our first date we went to Firkin Keglers, a bowling alley and pub located near UCF. Since our first date we were immediately inseperable and I'd see Billy coming up with random excuses to be "over in my area". We feel in love 2 weeks after our first date and have been looking forward to the day where we can merge our lives together as one, forever.
2: Jess's Side of the Proposal: On Friday, August 14 Billy took me out to dinner to the Bar/Restaurant where we met the first time called Tiki Bar located on Wall Street in Orlando. You'll recall from the "how we met" part of our story that this is where Billy told me his name and that I was pretty. We had dinner and the whole time I was anxious that this might be the moment I've been waiting for. I replayed how the scene would pan out in my head over and over again while Billy kept getting on his phone to send text messages. When dinner was over, we finished our drinks and left. I was beginning to think that I would have to wait for that moment a little while longer and that maybe dinner at Tiki was really just dinner. As we were walking out of Wall Street, we pointed out the second spot where we had met and walked over to the spot (we had to head this way to get to the parking garage). Billy stopped me and reenacted our first time meeting and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him right there! I was completely shocked! I didn't know that this was real until I saw 2 guys jump out from behind a column and start taking pictures of us! But wow! The first time I saw my ring it looked to perfect to be real! This is the ring I had only dreamed of ever having! It is the most amazingly beautiful ring I have ever seen!
3: Billy's Side of the Proposal: On Friday the 14th I told Jessica that I wanted to take her to dinner. This was the day that would change our lives and I knew that I was the person that oculd do it. Pressure right?! Well once we were on the road I told her I wanted to take her to our old stomping grounds, the first place we ever met, a place called Tiki Bar. While there we reiminsced on the old days and the silly lines I threw to her on our first encounter. Over a few drinks we laughed about allt he crazy fun we have shared and how the past year had flown by. I told Jess to not get her hopes up about the engagement tonight just to keep her on her toes. I actually pointed to my pockets and said, "Look there's no ring box in there." Of courseJess replied back, "I know, I've already looked to see." Mind you, I had the box perfectly adjusted in my boxer briefs..Haha, Yes, it was there! Well dinner ended and we started walking back to the packing garage where we had parked. Wow, this was the first time my nerves started to go crazy. Jes started walking off in the wrong direction, thinking we would just go somewhere else since we were downtown. I wanted the place to be perfect so I had her cross the street right in front of where we met the second time and actually exchanged our first true conversation. As we were walking, I had my buddy behind me who was the secret photographer to capture this perfect moment. Of course, I was getting paranoid that she would find out so I saw her look in the glass window of the building and I said "what are you looking at?" and good ole' Jess replied, "Me." Haha. So as we were standing on the other side of the street, I reinacted how we first met and told her that she was pretty and who I was. Well it was now or never, my mind was racing, and all of the sudden, I dropped ot my knee. I rehearsed this moment a thousand times in my head, but it all came out like baby talk. All I know is after it was all said and done, I asked those four words, "Will you marry me?" After she said "Yes" she noticed allt he commotion of the photographers (my buddy found someone else who had a professional camera), and it felt like we were famous with the clicking and flashing of the cameras. After we grasped reality, we realizedt hat across the street the bar/restaurant had turned on sirens and the people had been cheering and congratulating us from afar. Wow, what a rush! It couldn't have happened a better way than it did!
