FC: GERALD AND TABBY | Est. 2003
1: Hi! As we sit to write this letter our hearts are pounding with excitement and we are filled with emotion! We know from experience exactly how much lives can change in the most amazing way because of open adoption. We adopted our son Zaden two years ago and all of our (birth and adoptive families) lives have been changed forever in the most beautiful way. We look forward to walking this journey with you. We also understand that this is a very difficult time, and we totally get the wide range of emotions that you and your family will feel. We hope that our experience can help guide us all in this process. We have learned that once you connect and get to know each other it gets easier and the relationship starts to grow and become so natural. We totally believe in open adoption and know it works! We are excited to be in this forever relationship with you! We look forward to visits, sharing pictures, phone calls, texts and emails! We are so blessed that you are going to be apart of our lives and that we will be apart of yours! Love, Gerald, Tabby and Zaden
2: We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
3: A glimpse into our lives...
7: How we met... | We met through mutual friends in June of 2001. I was best friends with two sisters; one who was dating his best friend. I lived in Houston and he lived in Waco. He and his friends came to Houston for the younger sisters high school graduation. We were introduced and from the moment we shook hands there was a strong connection. We were inseparable that entire weekend. Gerald and I started dating exclusively almost immediately and we have been together ever since. We were long distance for 5 months which really taught us good communication skills. We saw each other every weekend during that time until I could move to Waco to be with him. On our one year anniversary, Gerald proposed, and we married almost one year later on May 24, 2003. We are so blessed to have our marriage centered around God. We strive everyday to have our marriage that is reflective of God's love. We work on it daily so that our marriage would be pleasing to Him. It is our goal to never lose sight of that.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
