2: One cold, winters night, an old woman laid in a hospital bed. She was wrapped up in a blanket, when the doctor came into her room to visit her. This was a different doctor than usual. | Uno de inviernos frios y noche, una mujer de edad establecido en una cama de hospital. Estaba envuelta en una manta hasta, cuando el doctor entro en su habitacion para visitarla. Se trataba de un medico diferente de lo habitual.

3: The physician introduced himself to the old woman and they began to talk. Soon into their conversation, the old woman thought that she recognized the physician's voice. | El medico se presento a la vieja y empexaron a hablar. 5: The old woman was a special education teacher who took Miguel under her wing. He claims that she is the reason for his success. 7: Miguel came to America from Mexico when he was eight years old. He was adopted by American parents who were so happy to get a son. | Miguel vino a Estados Unidos desde Mexico cuando tenia eight anos de edad. Fue adoptado por padres americanos que estaban tan contentos de tener un hijo.

8: Miguel missed his foster parents, school, friends, and traditional Mexican cuisine. He didn't feel quite comfortable in America because he could not speak or write English well. His classmates in school made fun of him and called him stupid. Stupid is not a word the old woman would use to describe Miguel. | Miguel perdio a sus padres adoptivos, escuela, amigos, y la cocina tradicional mexicana. No se sentia muy comodo en los Estados Unidos porque no podia hablar o escribir bien el idioma Ingles. sus companeros de clases en la escuela se burlaban de el y lo llamo estupido. Stupid no es una palabra de la anciana se utilizan para describir Miguel.

9: Miguel's primary teacher, referred him to me, the special education teacher. I soon realized that Miguel was a very intelligent young man. I saw great potential in him. | Maestro de primaria de Miguel, que se refiere a mi, la educacion especial teacher. I pronto se dio cuenta de que Miguel era un joven muy inteligente. 14: I took something that Miguel was good at by having him exercise his skills of teaching Spanish. This brightened his world and made him feel more confident about himself. 15: Miguel went into several classrooms and began teaching the students. Quickly, Miguel transformed from a quiet student who no one talked to, to a popular Spanish speaking celebrity. | Miguel entro en varias aulas y comenzo a ensenar a los estudiantes. Rapidamente, Miguel transformado de un estudiante tranquilo que nadie le hable, que a la celebridad popular de habla espanola.

16: Soon, all the students wanted Miguel to teach them Spanish. Everyone wanted to talk to him and be his friend. | Pronto, todos los estudiantes querian Miguel de ensenarles espanol. Todo el mundo queria hablar con el y ser su amigo.

17: By interacting with his peers, Miguel picked up on the English language more and more as well as becoming a popular figure in the school. | Al interactuar con sus companeros, Miguel recogido en el idioma Ingles mas y mas, asi como convertirse en una figura popular en las escuela.

18: He acquired much more self confidence than he ever had before. He began to feel comfortable in America and in his school. | Adquirio confianza en si mismo mucho mas de lo que habia tenido antes. Empezo a sentirse comodo en America y en su escuela.

19: Miguel (now Doctor Miguel Sanchez) noticed that a crowd of people stood behind him in the doorway. They all began to applaud the woman's story. | Miguel (ahora Doctor Miguel Sanchez) dio cuenta e que una mutitud de personas estaba detras de el en la puerta. Todo comenzaron a apluaudir la historia de la mujer.

20: A tear began to roll down Dr. Sanchez's face. He couldn't thank his teacher enough. He accredits her for all of the success he represents today.
