The book, MoneyBall, is about general manager, Billy Beane. All throughout his life Billy had excelled in many sports. When he was young his father taught him how to pitch. He played football and basketball but quit both to prevent any injuries that would risk his baseball career. Billy Beane earned a scholarship into Stanford University. Going into the Major League Baseball draft, Billy was one of the top prospects. However he dropped in the draft and struggled throughout his whole baseball career. This book is about how he turned things around when Billy became a major league general manager.

The reason why I chose these contacts were because Billy Beane is a general manager. What general managers do is that they manage a team. They make all the arrangements and trades to make a team better. All these players and coaches have been recruited by Billy Beane.
REPORT CARD Sports Medicine: A- PHYS ED: A+ Math: B Public Speaking: A French: B- Science: B+ Billy shows much promise. He is a good student and shows interest in his classes. Billy is also a very interactive person. I can see him being a lawyer because he is always comprimising with his peers
The reason I chose these classes and grades were because these are the qualities you need to have to be a general manager, or at least in my opinion. I chose him to excel in gym because growing up Billy Beane was a great athlete and excelled in many sports. I chose him to do good in Public Speaking because you have to interact with different people, and make negotiations, similar to professionals.

HollidaySeason@gmail.com: Well I'll call my agent rite now! G2G TTYL PEACE! This is an email between Matt Holliday and Billy Beane. It just a little parody of what would happen in a real Major League Baseball trade situation. Players and General Managers will act PROFESSIONAL..
Songs Life is a Highway- Rascal Flatts It's My Time- Jeremih ft. Fabulous Can't Touch This- MC Hammer The CLimb- Miley Cyrus I'm coming out- Dianna Ross
The reason why I chose these songs was because they all explain Billy Beane's life. I chose Life is a Highway by Rascall flats because throughout his life he went through much adversity he had deal with, and pulled through. I chose It's my Time because when Billy Beane was called up to perform he came up in the clutch and excelled. Can't Touch This is because Billy Beane excelled in many things he had done, including; academics and athletic performances. The Climb was all about Billy's struggle in the major league. I chose I'm Coming Out because Billy Beane was the first major league player to admit that he was homosexually. I thought that these songs appropriately described Bill's Life.
March 29 Horoscope Today will be your day. It will be a successful day, and you will please the people around you. You will reveal a secret that people will change the way they look at you, but positive changes will come to you. Your relationships will change and the people you meet will be pleased to see you. You will excel in most things you do, and you are not used to failure.
I decided to add these events to Billy's horoscope because this all them happened in the book, Moneyball, not all in the sameday however. When Billy Beane admitted he was gay, he was looked at differently by the Major League Baseball community but continued to pursue the goal of working for the MLB. He became the general manager for the Oakland Athletics. Billy Beane is most famous for his inspirational technique for recruiting players. He used a different set of statistics and style and was greatly admired for that.
Party Invite Who: For General Manager all over Major League Baseball, and around the World What: Discuss recruiting techniques, and minor league prospects. Where: Oakland, CA When: March 29th, 2010 Why: To improve teams of Major League Baseball Teams
I made these specific locations and times for Billy because it was convenient for Billy's schedule. Billy shows the different General Manager in baseball ways to look at prospects and determine their success rate. He proves them wrong because, they believed that Billy was wrong and he was right. An example of this was when Oakland acquired All-Star outfielder Matt Holliday in a trade that sent Huston Street, and Carlos Gonzalez. Oakland did not have a bright future for themselves until Billy joined the team. Now they are a team on the rising with much potential.
The two pictures on the right are pictures of Billy as a General Manager for the Oakland Athletics. The middle picture is the new acquisition Matt Holliday. The reason why I emphasize on Matt Holliday is because he was an awesome player. He made two all-stars while he was with the Athletics. The two pictures on the right are pictures of Billy Beane on the New York Mets. Although he did not have a successful career, Billy was the first rookie every to record four hits in his first ever game.
Poem Roses are Red, Violets are Blue I am criticized in everything I do In this pain, I must stay strong And through this long season, I got to prove them wrong After landing Holliday, I got a 10/10 Will they hate? Even if I like men? My whole life, I've been able to excel I know soon, I will be able to escape this hell.
I chose the words for the stanzas because it is the basic gist of Billy Beane's life. In his Major League Baseball carer, he was criticized for not being able to perform at the potential he was expected to play at. He continued to work and became a MLB General Manager. The bottom stanzas represent his willingness to excel in all that he has done, that dates back to high school. Billy Beane had made some successful acquisitions for Oakland, such as Matt Holliday, Adam Kenneday, and Kurt Suzuki, and he continues to dominate his General Managing position with ease.
I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys sports. This book shows a story about a young boy, who was an all-star in all sports he played. Then when he grew up experienced some failures, and concludes will the succession of his General Managing job. Explains all the adversity he had to go through between his homosexuality and his different style in recruiting. Billy Bean is still the General Manager today and hopes to take the Oakland Athletics far.
 THE END
