BC: The End

FC: By: Rebekah | How can peace be gained?

Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories. CathyAllen | Only those you dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly. | Dogs are not our whole lives but they make our lives whole.

Sun Melting everything The sun burns, bright yellow rays The earth goes around Trees Swaying in the wind so high way up in the sky green and yellow too

In the first haiku about sun you feel like you are in the sun and it's burning around you. It makes one imagine the bright yellow rays are really hot. | In the second haiku about trees you feel like the trees are very peaceful and swaying in the wind.

Sleeping Cat | The world is a sleepy cat playing with its yarn it makes the world have harm but when it lets out a big huge snore the world is in peace once more Smashing with its big huge arms muddy and wet the creature purrs its sticky tongue and slimy lips makes the whole world rock a bit After a long days work the cat lays down for a long summers nap and when it settles down the world stops rocking once and for all

The poetic device in this poem is personification. That is when you give a non-living item the characteristics of a living thing. For example, I turned the earth into a sleeping cat. When you read the beginning of the poem it gives you the feel like the world is calm and silent. Toward the middle the earth comes alive and plays, the world is rocking and moving. At the end, you get the feel that the world is going back to sleep and everything is calm.

All things grow better with love. | The poetic device in this poem is Free Verse. This is when you have no regular pattern or rhyme. In the beginning of the poem you feel calm, like everything is good and peaceful. In the second stanza, everything starts going downhill but you don't know what's happening. In the third stanza you know that they are cutting down trees and that the narrator is very sad . In the end you feel like we have to help save the trees.

The wind was blowing through my hair The trees whistled as I flew by them Everything was calm, everything was right The hooves that pounded on the ground Were beauty to my ears As I reached the end of the beauty My heart started pounding in my chest My eyes started watering And the world felt like it was falling apart Everything falling to the ground The axes chopping and the men laughing Do they know what they’re doing to the world Destroying it, killing it Nature is the world’s beauty The sound of trees dying in my ears Was tearing the insides right out What am I going to do? This is our world and we have to protect it | Green, Tall, Beautiful

Wars need to stop Overall they are disasters Raging countries Lots of children have no homes Don't people see what it will take to stop? People dying for peace Everything falls apart Always horrible and sad Can't we just make peace Easy to stop but people are not trying | World Peace

This acrostic poem tells you about World Peace and asks that we need to stop wars. When you read this you feel sad for the people who have to suffer because of wars. I feel disappointed that people can't stop fighting and try and get along.

Rainbow High, Beautiful Soaring, Swaying, Lively Flowers, Colors, Birds, Rain Fading, Shrinking, Darkness Gone, Shadows Clouds

When you read the beginning of the poem you feel happy and lively. Then at the end when the rainbow has gone away you feel sad and lonely. I think what inspired me to write this poem is that I love rainbows.

The Day my Life Ended | A dog is always there for you playful, cute, and funny You treasure it dearly treat it like a best friend Makes you have good times And maybe funny times too It's always ready to play Or after a long playful day maybe relax and lay But one day...... He's gone for good Like "poof" he went away What am I going to do Nothing can replace a dog | Makes you have good times And maybe funny times too It's always ready to play Or after a long playful day maybe relax After long dreadful years Which I feared this day Now...it's finally here As I find him lying Not breathing, not moving I can't hear anything This is the day my life ended Makes you have good times And maybe funny times too It's always ready to play Or after a long playful day maybe relax and lay

All those years flashing back My brain going fuzzy This was not happening It was just a dream It had to be...... Makes you have good times And maybe funny times too It's always ready to play Or after a long playful day maybe relax and lay I fell to the ground Like my whole world Came crashing down He was my best friend He can't leave | Makes you have good times And maybe funny times too It's always ready to play Or after a long playful day maybe relax and lay When I look back I know he's in a better place And I know in my heart He looks over me He watches over me Like an angel, a dog angel My dog angel Makes you have good times And maybe funny times too It's always ready to play Or after a long playful day maybe relax and lay

This poem provides a heart warming feeling. If you have lost a dog, it fills your heart with joy to know that your dog is still with you and that he is watching over you. When I wrote this poem it let me express how I felt about losing a pet.

A dog is for life not just for Christmas

The whistle blew My heart pounded The grass under my feet flew The ball got kicked Soccer is my life Everything revolves around it I love it, it calms me It is me The ball at my feet The wind in my hair The goal saying "come and shoot" My teammates yelling "fast and beat" Soccer is my life Everything revolves around it I love it, it calms me It is me When we score My head lifts up high I know we can win, we can do more We can do anything, as a team | Soccer

Soccer is my life Everything revolves around it I love it, it calms me It is me But when we lose My head lowers But then I remember The times we had victory Soccer is my life Everything revolves around it I love it, it calms me It is me All those good times and bad times too All around me, everywhere I'll never give up through thick and thin or in times of pain or when we lose Soccer is my life Everything revolves around it I love it, it calms me It is me Every time I'm out on the field I get this feeling of pure goodness Everything is right, everything has gone away All my worries gone "swoosh" away

The poetic device in this poem is rhyme scheme. Rhyme scheme is when you have a rhyming pattern. When you read this poem you know that soccer is the whole life of the narrator. When I wrote this poem I got my inspiration from my love of soccer and from my soccer team.

Patriots always talk of dying for their country and never of killing for their country. | Everyone's a pacifist between wars. It's like being a vegetarian between meals. | Anyone who has ever looked into the glazed eyes of a soldier dying on the battlefield will think hard before starting a war. | Cruelty is war and violence | Each man must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong
