Dear Rob: . Wow, your 34th birthday, time certainly seems to run very quickly. I remember what does not seem like such a long time ago, reading stories, doing homework and playing basketball on our home court with you. I would also add sitting and playing on my lap BUT you were too BIG for that at an early age. Seriously, I want to wish you a very healthy and happy birthday. May that day and all others bring you happiness and success at all you want to do. Love, Dad

Happy birthday, Bert! Love Bryan and Ron

Grandaddy | In the summer of 1929, when he was a college junior, Robert's grandfather (aka Grandaddy, Leonard Brickman) hitchhiked his way across America to California, working at various jobs to finance his trip along the way, lumberjacking mostly. He saw all the sights he had long wanted to see, climbed many of the mountains he had read about, including Mount Ranier, and when he got to California decided that he wanted to stay. UCLA Medical School agreed to accept him and to help him finish his undergraduate degree in one year. They did not get many chemistry major applicants. Well, he didn't stay. Instead a well timed letter from the "gal he left behind" (aka Grammy, Tess) brought him back across the country in an old car he co-owned with a fellow he had met on the way. Many of us have a real affinity for the Western USA, undoubtedly an inherited characteristic, and a love for nature and the outdoors - for example I have taken as many trips west as possible since my first look at California. However, 75 or more years after Grandaddy, Robert became Pioneer II and actually decided to make his life in the west. Grandaddy would have loved the way and the why of that decision and that it is the western girl who has completed the picture. Happy Birthday, Robert. Expect many visitors - it is in the DNA. Love, Aunt M.

We send our loving wishes for a great birthday, a great year and many, many more great times to come. Hugs, love and kisses, Aunt Fran & Uncle Aurthur | Rob, Josh & Aunt Fran December 1999 - Macy's New York "As a little boy Josh idolized Rob and how tall he was. One of his very serious ambitions was to grow up and be as tall as his cousin Rob."

Maze! Maze! Maze! | RJ, Happy birthday... if anyone deserves the best birthday it is most certainly you. Miss you like crazy back home and NYC is definitely not the same without you, but the Rockies are lucky to have you. A few Quotes to put a smile on your face: Ann Smith: “You do know his middle name is Stephen” Big E: “How come it took 2 hours to get mouthwash?” Clark Griswold: “Real tomato ketchup Eddie?” Spaceball 1: “Megamaid went from suck to blow” Always remember the power of the stache, brought Keith 2 rings!!

AL | RJ, Spliff, McSpliff - I want to wish you a very happy birthday. I have to say that I haven’0t known any friend longer than I have known you. I remember going to birch lane together, then to McKenna, then Berner and of course hanging out at Burger King during lunch while attending Massapequa High. I remember one day you saying to me “Al, I am going to ask my mom to skip school so I can wait on line for tickets to a concert.” Well, that concert was the Grateful Dead at MSG and that officially started it all. I like to call that era in our life Al/Rob 2.0. I am proud to say that you accompanied me to my first Grateful Dead show and my first Phish show. Both events were amazing and I am grateful that you were able to be there with me. Now, let’s fast forward to the 3.0 era. You called me one day and said, what do you think of me moving out of New York and going to Colorado? Without hesitation, I said “Go for it. What do you have to lose?” Without getting into all of the details, I can truly say that you lost nothing and gained everything. You have made a great life for yourself, met an awesome girl and are enjoying the wonders of life outside of NYC. I am very happy for you. Sometimes in life you have to take chances and this chance you took, definitely paid off. HAPPY 34TH BIRTHDAY TO A GREAT FRIEND. ONE LOVE, AL

“I may be going to hell in a bucket, baby, but at least I'm enjoying the ride.” “Every silver lining’s got a touch of grey I will get by, I will get by, I will get by, I will survive.” “Trapped in time and I don't know what to do These friends of mine, I can see right through 'em You don't gotta tell me, cause I don't gotta move I'm sittin' back here just sharin' in the groove” “Set the gearshift for the high gear of your soul, you've got to run like an antelope out of control!”

The boys. Scumbags, ho! | Forrest and Jenny out by the pool where many stories were born! | Making "Iced Tea" ...the kind that makes you lose your sense of Gravity! | Spliff rockin' the BBQ-And who says aprons are awkward? | From the first day on the bus in 7th grade, when you told me I could sit next to you, we've been watching each others backs and you've been my best friend. That won't change in Colorado, if you move to Tahiti, or if you and Dave Meggett end up cell mates in prison. You've been the reason I've gone to work on two hours sleep while you fools rested in the sun. You've been the reason I got out of trouble with my parents for things I stuck in a sock. You've been the reason I have "taken one for the team" and at times the reason I have had to throw down in the street playing hockey. But most of all you're the reason I believe in good people - you're sincerely the best I know. Much love bro - happy birthday! - Sterno | CASEY

MORRISON | To Rob: The best Phish companion a person could ever ask for and an even better friend. Happy Birthday, buddy. I love and miss you. Mikey Mo | Saturday, 12/06/1997 The Palace of Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills, MI Soundcheck: Dog Log, AC/DC Bag, Ginseng Sullivan, Black-Eyed Katy Set 1: Golgi Apparatus, Run Like an Antelope, Train Song > Bathtub Gin -> Foam,Sample in a Jar, Fee > Maze, Cavern Set 2: Tweezer -> Izabella -> Twist -> Piper, Sleeping Monkey -> Tweezer Reprise Encore: Rocky Top

Thanks for dragging me to game 7 of the 2006 NLCS. I thought you were crazy for buying tickets for WAY too much money at the last minute, but that was the best sporting event I have ever been to, and I still owe you for it (both literally and metaphorically). I learned a valuable lesson that day: There is no such thing as a bad game, or concert, if the Pequan is there. Can't wait for the next one. - Josh | Zelkowitz

Rob, ever since we met in Israel we have been great friends. Our love for music sparked a long lasting friendship! I hold a special place for all of our great memories from Israel, Egypt, Skiing (whether at Hunter or Vermont), to the many shows we went too... including our very first together, Little Feat. I can always count on you to keep an eye on me at festivals! You are an amazing person who deserves the very best in life. I am so happy for the life you have made in Colorado! Happy Birthday! Don't ever forget all the fun memories we had on both of our Israel trips, Mountain Jam-Jimmy O'connors and the dance party tent you found me in, Phish Red Rocks (surprising you when I snuck in), Bisco Inferno (too many hours of UNTZ), our Vermont trip and nearly dying, and all the other great times we shared! Cheers too many more fun times to laugh about! (call me if your memory is foggy hehe) Love, Carrie

Hi Rob!!! Hope you have an amazing birthday!!! We miss you tons but are so happy that you are loving Denver and have so many wonderful things and people in your life. :) Do you remember there was this one diner near you where you took me and Rach once and pretended it was your birthday so you could get cake and have people sing to you?? :) I am pretty sure you and your friends did that a lot if I remember correctly. I have so many fond memories of you from high school including junior prom (yours and mine). I am so glad we stayed friends all these years and I know that that will always continue no matter where you live or how busy we get. Looking forward to seeing you and having you meet Brandon!!! Happy Happy Birthday! Hoping all your wishes come true and you have a great year ahead!!! Love you!!! Amy (with a Happy Birthday from Jeff and Baby B too!) | I miss you!! - Talya | TALYA | AMY
