The Life & Tales of Madame Defarge. - Page Text Content

BC: TI remember was going to the place where Lucie Manette was staying. Miss Pross told me she was sleeping, but I knew better! Miss Pross was just trying to keep me away from her. I yelled into Lucie's room. But still I got no answer. I tried to get past Miss Pross, but she's a strong old women and I had to pull my gun. After a struggle, the gun went off. I felt a sharp pain and I fell to the ground. I wasn't quite sure about what happened and then everything went black. The last thing I remembered was, I'm going to be late to Charles execution! I can't be late! | I think I'm dead now. This isn't how it's suppose to be. I'm suppose to be the one killing, not dying. Is this what they call fate? Is this my destiny or was it a mistake. They better not be saying it's justice, justice would be those aristocrats dying. I guess being shot is alright because I got my revenge. Charles Darnay was executed. I hope my husband goes through with my wishes and kills the rest. This is my goodbye, the end of my tale. I hope I"ll be remembered for my violence I committed and the hate I strongly felt. Goodbye doomed world, goodbye!

FC: The Life & Tales of | Madame Defarge

1: I, Madame Defarge, have decided to put my life into writing for all the world to see . I strongly believe everyone should know the reasons for my revenge! Justice to the citizens!

2: My husband and I, are secretly planning the revolution even though there will be a fair amount of time before it begins. We meet in our wine shop so that no one can hear us. Our code word is "Jacques."

3: I knit as a hobby or at least that is what people from the outside world see. Maybe to them, I"m knitting a cloak or a hat; but really it is something much more important than that. | I knit our plans and every word into my work. I tend to use symbols that only I would understand. But I understand! It seems as if I'm not paying attention to the conversation. | But really, it's far from that. The things I knit into my work, is the names of the people us "Jacques," are going to kill! Oh how sweet revenge will be.

4: I intend to seek my REVENGE!!!!! Why some may ask, because it's more than the nobility treats us citizens bad. It's more than those aristocrats just putting whoever in prison. I have a reason. The Evermonde family killed my family! And every last one will be killed and I'll stop at nothing!!!! This is the first of the Evermonde family that i will kill! | CHARLES DARNAY - off with his head -

5: Before I seek total revenge, there is the Bastille. We stormed it with me leading the women. It was a great accomplishment in my eyes when I cut off a guys head with a knife.

6: The Guillotine: To some it means death, to me it's revenge. All aristocrats will die by this magnificent "women." The one death that I surely won't be late too, is the Evermonde. Revenge is sweet.

7: It's not just Charles Darnay I'm after. After his death, I'll get all the Evermonde's. His wife Lucie, who was a Manette, but now a Darnay, as well as their daughter little Lucie, who is an Evermonde by blood! And blood I will get.

8: Before the revolution started, I was a quiet knitter in the corner and I didn't talk much. But that doesn't mean I was a nice lady. As the revolution approaches, that changes. I start to speak up. I express my feelings and show my true colors! I wanted everyone in our wine shop to know I mean business. When I lead the women through the storming of the Bastille, that is when I'm completely different. I'm killing, planning and plotting. My revenge is soon approaching. At the first sight of the revolution, my true viciousness appears. These actions, that I will always accept as my own, reflect the tragedy that was bestowed against me.
