S: THE QUEST FOR THE GORGON'S HEAD

FC: The Quest for the Gorgon's Head | Josh Goyke Sean Cimino

Years and years ago, a miracle came from the gods. Danae, The daughter of king Acrisius, received a son from the gods one day. His name was Perseus, and he was said to be the one to kill Acrisius. | Acrisius discovered Perseus and sent him and Danae off in a chest. | They were found by Dictys, and Polydectes fell in love with Danae.

Polydectes, however, did not want Perseus, so he sent him to the Gorgons to retrieve a Gorgon's head. | Polydectes invited all his royal friends to a wedding celebration, and all but Perseus had a wedding gift. | Perseus wanted to obtain Medusa's head for the celebration, and the oracle told him to go to the "land where men eat acorns." | Hermes came in to help Perseus, to fill in the specifics about the adventure.

Perseus needed possession of the Nymphs of North, and needed to visit the Grey Women in order to obtain it. | Perseus then went to the Grey Women, waited for them to change the one eye that they share, and grabbed it from them, demanding information.

Hermes supplied Perseus with the sword that wouldn't break over Gorgon scales. Athena then gave him her shield to use as a mirror against Medusa, since sight of her turns you to stone. | Hermes showed Perseus the way to the country of Hpyerboreans because you couldn't get there by land or ship. | Perseus finally received a Magic wallet that fits anything in it, winged sandals, and an invisibility cap from Hermes. | Perseus began his adventure for the Gorgon's head when he found them sleeping on their island.

Athena poionted Medusa out to Perseus and guided his sword to cut Medusa's neck and get her head in the wallet.

The other two immortal Gorgons then awoke, and tried to chase Perseus, but could not because of his invisible cap and his flying sandals. | On the way home, Perseus found the beautiful Andromeda, who had a punishment of being sacrificed to a sea serpent.

Perseus arrived at the perfect time to save Andromeda, and free her from the chains and the sea serpent. | After falling in love with her beauty, Perseus went back to Andromeda's parents and asked for her hand in marriage. | Finally, both went back to Polydectes, but Denae and Dictys were no where to be found. | Perseus then went to the King's palace, pulled out Medusa's head, and turned everyone at the celebration to stone.

Dictys was made to be the king of the island. Perseus and Andromeda then went to talk terms with Acrisius. | In Argos, Acrisius had been driven away, but no one could find him. However, the King of Larissa in north was holding an athletic contest, where Perseus accidentally threw a discus into the crowd of people, killing Acrisius on impact. | Now that everything had been resolved and settled, Perseus gave Medusa's head to Athena, who put it on her shield. | Perseus and Andromeda, now married, lived very happily for years to come, with their new child Electryon.
