S: Europe 2011
FC: Europe | Germany & England Oct/ Nov 2011
When I found out I had 18 days off work, my first thought was a visit to Europe - I ended up back in a cast before the trip, but that wouldn't stop me! I missed Christine, whom I hadn't seen her for 9 years, and I'd never had the opportunity to visit England and all the relatives there! | The next pages are a small portion of all the great places I visited, and more importantly, all of the wonderful people that took the time to show me them.
Around Stadecken- Elsheim, Germany I first met Christine & her family in 2000 on a high school exchange. I loved the beautiful Rheinland Pfalz area and all the great people I met. Little did I know I'd return 2 years later in 2002, and again in 2011!!
 Mainz, Germany
 Wiesbaden, Germany
Worms, Germany My favourite part of visiting Worms was the Nibelungen Museum that had an audio tour in English!
 Churches & Cathedrals
Today Christine & I went to Bacharach on the Rhein River. I love the style of buildings there and the old wall that surrounds the town. | The Castle - which has now been converted into a Youth Hostel | It was a bit foggy along the river... but gorgeous nonetheless!
My German Sister, Christine, and I with Mainz just across the river
London, England | I was in awe when we popped out of the underground, right beside Big Ben!
Catherine, Heather & I took the train/ underground around London today. The whole system is very impressive. I only got lost once!
 The Natural History Museum
Above: Melton Mowbray, where we visited Sylvia & John Left: My great-great Grandparents graves (The Favell's)
Today David, Diana, Heather, Chris & I went to the Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire. My favourite was the Red Panda, who was busy building a bed of leaves in his house. A close second would have to be the baby elephant. It was only a couple of months old and so cute!
