On January 9th 2009 we departed for Sydney, Australia. Not having any idea what we were getting ourselves into. We had a place to spend our first night in "Oz" but that was as far as our planning had taken us | Sydney
 Sunrise Over the Pacific
Bondi Beach | Sydney Tower | Sydney, Australia | Sydney quickly became home; the hostels in Darlinghurst, Bondi Beach,
The Entertainers at Circular Quay, Hillsong, Parks, Bats, The Ocean
Byron's beaches are like a dream come true, they stretch out for miles and miles. Byron is the most easterly point in Australia. Take a hike up to the lighthouse for some incredible views!! A few days just wasn't quite enough to fully enjoy all that Byron had to offer.
 Byron Bay
Brisbane | It was here that we found a nice little Baptist Church and indulged in some Sunday morning worship. God blessed us that afternoon by bringing Matthew into our lives; he took us into his home for lunch and then brought us to a wildlife reserve, where as you can see we got to pet a kangaroo!!!
 F R A S E R | I S L A N D
The largest sand island in the world, home to some breathtaking freshwater lakes, crystal clear springs and miles and miles of sand. Word has it that the Island was closing to tours such as the one we went on so we may have been some of the last to experience Fraser Island.
 AIRLIE | BEACH
It rained and poured for 40 daysies daysies... Well maybe it was only 11 days straight of pouring rain, waiting to depart on the open sea. We saw dolphins, waterfalls, and some other tropical fish when we got to go snorkeling. I found Nemo!!
 Magnetic Island
Death Adders, Hiking trails, Palm trees, Waterfalls, Military Outposts, Horses wearing clothes, and Toad races were just a few of the things that made this Island so "Magnetic"
Mission Beach, home of Jump the Beach. The #1 Skydiving spot in Oz. So we did it. 14,000 feet up, 60 + seconds of freefall and pure adrenaline!
 MISSION BEACH
Cape Tribulation is in the Daintree Rainforest just north of Cairns, or "Cains" as the locals call it. We took a river cruise looking for crocodiles, explored the rainforest on foot, which was incredible and we even got to try our hand at playing the Didgeridoo. | CAPE TRIBULATION
 Blue Mountains
The Blue Mountains gave us a small glimpse as to what heaven will be like. So peaceful and serene where the beauty of God's creation just stretches out as far as the eye can see. Nearly untouched by man we were led through the mist to amazing waterfall vistas, and when the mist lifted we saw the three sisters and the seemingly unending valley unfolding behind them... Awesome!!!!!
 Blue Mountains
We figured we would spend a night on the beach. How bad could it be right? Well once that cold bone chilling night wind comes in off the ocean it can be bad. Getting misted by sprinklers and chased off our benches by men with pressure washers didn't add to the already "good" night. A good story, yes, but the only bright spot on the night was the beautiful sunrise the next morning.
 Manly Beach
The Land of Oz | Cape Tribulation | Mission Beach | Magnetic Island | Airlie Beach | Fraser Island | Brisbane | Byron Bay | Sydney | Blue Mountains
