FC: Costa Rica Volunteer Trip 2012
1: San Jose | Costa Rica | ARRIVED 30 July 2012 | is the capital of Costa Rica and the largest city in Costa Rica. San Jose is located in the central valley. San Jose is an interesting mix of modernity and history.
2: This was our first night in San Jose. We stayed at a nice cozy hotel and ate dinner at a Peruvian restaurant. It was Delicious!

6: We went and saw one of the volcanos that is in Costa Rica! We got very lucky that we were able to see the crater!
7: On our tour we got to see all these different kinds of birds! We were more scared of them then they were of us!
8: this was one of Emily's favorite parts! We got to see all these different butterflies! They would just fly over and land on you and stay there the whole time!
9: While we were on our tour we got to see all of these animals! Each animal was saved from drug lords in Costa Rica! They are now all safe and a joy to watch!

16: After we were finished volunteering we decided to spoil ourselves at Costa Verde in Manual Antonio; the best beach in Costa Rica! We stayed in a 747 airplane that had been converted into a hotel suit! everyday at 4 monkeys came and ran around and played on the decks of the airplane!
17: This was our first day in Manual Antonio! We went to the beach and then on hike to see the beautiful views! There were so many monkeys and we had a blast!
18: While we were in Costa Rica we saw so many monkeys that we thought they deserved their own page! It was Emily's favorite part since they are her favorite animals!

The views were breath-taking | This is the one of the beaches! The water was so warm! | This is one of the beaches in Manual Antonio, there was no one there! | The beautiful Ocean! I wish I lived there!
22: Emily is holding Rambutan! This fruit is very popular in Costa Rica. It is covered with pink spikes and to eat it you open it with your fingers. Inside there is a clear ball you suck the white grape like texture. It is very good! Just beware that there is a seed inside so be careful!
