FC: Going to Rio De Janeiro by Will Schumann
I dedicate this book to my mom
Today Mrs.D told us that we are going to Rio De Janeiro for a month.
She said that we are leaving today at dismissal and our bags are in the office.
It took forever just to get to the plane. Eventually we got to the airport and on the plane. It takes 15
hours to get to Rio. When people started getting bored of each other they got out their PSPs and iPods.
About 10 hours on the plane the pilot came on the intercom and said "ladies and gentleman we are having engine failure and we are going to crash land."
Five minutes later the pilot came on the intercom | and said that we are crashing in about 5 minutes. | He was right. Five minutes later we crashed !
 Bam! eeek!pow!boom
Someone broke their leg, so the pilot climbed up the tree to get the first aid kit. As the pilot was climbing back down the tree, the
branch he was standing on snapped! He fell about 10 feet and landed flat on his back into a pond. He was hurt badly. We think he broke his back and now we are on our own.
It's the second day and we have finished the last bags of pretzels and peanuts. He are still hungry.
Some of the students found supplies and made tools to catch food. I made a spear out of along piece of wood and found a pointed piece of metal from the plane to make the tip of the spear. I was hunting for some good food to eat when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye....
It was a jaguar lunging at me. Before I could think, I stuck the end of my spear into the ground with sharp end sticking up and the jaguar landed on the spear. He was killed instantly.
I yelled to the camp to come and help carry my dead jaguar back to the campsite. That night I used the skin of the jaguar as a cover to keep warm.
We started a smoke signal to get the helicopter's attention. | The next day we all woke up to the sound of a helicopter.
 We were rescued!
