S: Hot Springs, Arkansas 2010
FC: Summer 2010 | Hot Springs, Arkansas
Downtown Historic Hot Springs | Here we visited the first bath houses in the area. These bath houses are what lead to the establishment of the whole town. This fountain contained steaming hot water piped up from the spring itself.
At Hot Springs National Park, we were able to tour the historical bath house and all the rooms that used to be used by people from all over the country and world for their actual (and supposed) medical benefits.
In addition to the bath house, there is Hot Springs National Park in the middle of downtown Hot Springs. It had some beautiful trails and a scenic overlook (plus a nice rainbow on the day we were there).
Fun with the boys around the house
On our second day we visited Lake Catherine State Park. Here we hiked a nice trail and then took a dip in the cool water.
Our Sunset Cruise on the Pontoon
 Relaxing on Lake Hamilton
We spent this whole day on the lake just cruising and enjoying the sun. Even Noah had a chance at the wheel.
Porterhouse Steak & Seafood, Downtown Hot Springs
 Garvan Woodland Gardens
Lake Ouachita State Park | The four of us separated from the others this day to hike the Caddo Bend trail. It was a long four miles, but we had a lot of fun.
Nate and Russ took a spin on the lake in the rafts and attempted a little fishing off the dock at our house.
Our last day here, we took it easy around the house and then took a short trip to Lake Ouachita State park to soak in the lake there.
