1: Ireland (in the green ) is an island on the western fringe of Europe. It's part of the United Kingdom. Since 1921 the island has been divided politically into two parts.The two great mountain systems of Europe, north of the Alps, converge westwards to meet and mingle in Ireland.Ireland is rich in rivers and lakes. 4: Some of the Ireland symbols are a Claddagh ring(The Claddagh ring (Irish: fáinne Chladaigh) is a traditional Irish ring given as a token of love or worn as a wedding ring), Celtic Cross(The meaning of the Celtic Cross is told in legend of Ireland's St. Patrick. He was shown a sacred standing stone that was marked with a circle. St. Patrick took this opportunity to show the union of old and new ways.
