S: Jamestown, Rhode Island 2010
FC: Jamestown, Rhode Island Summer 2010
This is our annual vacation in Jamestown. Nonni & Papa spent a few days with us before going off on their own vacation. We spent our first day with them having some fun in the sun at our favorite Jamestown beach. | Mackerel Cove with Nonni & Papa
We spent the day frolicking in the water and building sand castles, our usual beach activities. Oh, and Zoe buried her brother in the sand, at his request. The feather is courtesy of Nonni! It was a fabulous day at the beach as always!
Newport Kite Festival Brenton Point State Park July 10, 2010
Zoe made her own butterfly kite. Aidan was more interested in getting a Del frozen lemonade because it was sooooo hot that day!
The festival was great! We saw many amazing kites that day. We even saw some demonstrations with trick kites.
Pizza, pizza, pizza! Zoe & Aidan made their own pizzas for the first time!
Uncle Stephen, Auntie Christina, Colin, Grandpa & Mima came to stay with us for a few days.
Mackerel Cove A day at the beach with the kids
Crabbing was the favorite pastime on this day. The kids searched the rocks for crabs, dead or alive, to add to the Crab Shack they built. Their shack was very popular. They had many visitors by the end of the day. They were so proud!
After a day at the beach, we went over to Beavertail (stopping for ice cream at Spinnakers first, of course)! It was a great afternoon for walking and kite flying!
Mima and Grandpa still hold hands | Mischievous Boys | Is that Jeff up there? | Zoe made a new friend | Walking Newport
The Newport Arcade | The arcade is a "must do" for the kids when we go into Newport. As you can see from Aidan's face, he is already plotting which game to start with!
 The Cliff Walk in Newport
We did the condensed version of the Cliff Walk starting at the 40 Steps and ending at Ruggles Avenue. The views were breathtaking! The house in the top picture is a dream house. Jeff and I saw it being built several years ago. And what a view it has!
Walking along the ocean, searching for shells & sea glass, catching crabs, skipping rocks...These are a few of our favorite things.
