S: 2009 Mexico
1: In January of 2009 the family took a trip to the Mayan Riviera to the Grand Principe Akumal Resort. The resort was fantastic!! The entire family ended up coming along so there were over 20 of us. We had many fun filled nights and beautiful relaxing days by the beach. Even with the flu hitting a few travelers in our group, we still had a fantastic time and would definitely travel back.
2: Getting ready to go Bonnie and I booked appointments for pedicures before we left.. very relaxing and enjoyable to say the least!!! Mexican flowers were painted on our toes!

5: Dane ended up with the flu on the airplane, which made for a VERY long flight. He was a little trooper. | Ticket to Fly!!
6: After a very long flight we arrive at Baha Principe Resort and were welcomed with cervezas!!

18: Punta Cana was a shoppers dream!! Everyone enjoyed the shops and attempting to bargain with the vendors. We met several interesting characters along the way. Nanny even posed for a picture with them

20: There were many restaurants on the resort and we enjoyed them nightly Great Food!! | Our waiter mixing Eric's specialty coffee right at the table | The meat was served on large swords | Nanny enjoying a scrumptious dessert
22: Oh, the years have come and gone as petals of a delicate flower. All that is left to remain alone is a marble statue in fading hour
23: There were many unique sculptures and statues all throughout the hotel
24: There were so many different kinds of tequila for us to sample | Tequila

35: The beach from every angle was absolutely stunning, the water was a beautiful turquoise blue.

43: We just love the beach, particularly Hope. She played in the sand and in the Ocean each day. She made many sand castle houses and had a lot of fun
44: Rob had a chance to hold a pet iguana. It was the largest one that we had seen on our trip

62: Everyone had a turn with the monkey's in the marketplace. They were very cute
63: It was such a large resort that we had golf carts to take us around
64: Sombrero's were everywhere so we had to try them
67: Dinner at the Pescador Restaurant on the Resort grounds. The waiter made Hope a napkin hat

71: Each day we were greeted with towel animals left by the cleaning staff. Very creative and the children loved them
