MITCHKO FAMILY DISNEY TRIP | October 2012
Our first trip to Disney World was a year in the making. Mom and Dad did lot's of research... reading books, searching blogs, downloading apps. Mom packed for over 2 weeks. Now that it was finally here... we couldn't contain ourselves!! | The Big Day is Finally Here!!! Let's Get Going!
In one day we took a car, a plane, a monorail, a bus, a taxi, and a boat. | As the plane was traveling down the runway, Ella exclaims, "When are we going to blast off?" | After getting off the plane we took the magical express to our resort. Ella Jo fell asleep and this became the 1st of many photos of Sleeping Ella. | I don't like travel days.
 THE WILDERNESS LODGE
The kids loved all the little animals left in our room each day. And look it's Leapy, our hotel frog! | Time for a morning hot chocolate run... we love our refillable mugs! | Enjoyed breakfast at the Roaring Forks a couple of mornings... YUM!!! Loved the Mickey's Chocolate Lovers Waffles.
THE SPIRIT OF ALOHA LUAU | DAY 1
The Luau was a great way to spend our first night at WDW. The Polynesian is beautiful... a great place to take pictures. We all loved the pineapple-coconut bread. Mom and Dad got to go up and dance for our anniversary and Ella also got to strut her stuff. The show was fun. Liam loved the fire eater. Our first glimpse of the castle was from their beach. To top off the night, we got to take the monorail and a boat back. Very exciting stuff!
Waiting for the boat to the MAGIC KINGDOM
OFF TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM & BREAKFAST WITH THE PRINCESSES | Day 2
It was about 7:30 AM when we first walked down Main Street. No one was in the park yet and it was so magical! I loved looking at all the little stores and all the Halloween decorations. I was trying to soak it all in... the kids were in hurry to get to the castle and start meeting characters!
Princess Ella Jo & Prince Liam meet CINDARELLA
The Princess Breakfast was grand! It was amazing to walk into the castle, up the spiral staircase and into Cinderella's Royal Table. It was so much fun to meet each princess. Best of all our autograph books were filling up quickly on the very first morning!
CLASSIC DISNEY RIDES... with almost no wait
 White Rabbit
Chip n Dale One of our favorites
 HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS | Day 3
 Stitch made a great escape!
Oh no! The characters were flirting with Mom and Dad.
Tinker Bell makes an unexpected landing!
We had fun on Toy Story Mania and got to see a few shows. The Star Tours ride was a big hit with everyone. Liam and Ella loved that it rained and they got to use the rain ponchos we have been carrying around with us.
While we were waiting for dinner, we heard there was a Phineas and Ferb sighting... so we grabbed our autograph books and ran.
What a Fantasmic show! Pictures just don't do it justice.
One of the whole family's favorite days | TYPHOON LAGOON | Day 4
 CASTAWAY CREEK... everything but lazy
CHIP N DALE SING ALONG AT FORT WILDERNESS
EPCOT BY DAY | Day 5
My little collectors picking out their pins for the day. We just couldn't resist! | It was fun to get to Epcot at rope drop. They blasted string out into the crowd as we entered.
EPCOT BY NIGHT | Day 5 | After a long nap Liam and Ella are psyched about heading back out. Dancing on the bus was a must! Since there was extra magic hours we didn't get back to our hotel until 1AM.
We had shrimp on the barbie and grilled lamb chops (Australia), mongolian beef (China), and noshed on cheese fondue and crepes. | There were 29 kiosks at the Food & Wine festival. It was the perfect way to spend an evening strolling around to each country. | We sampled beef empanadas (Argentina), braised beef and jerk chicken (Carribean), and shrimp tacos (Mexico)
We watched the fireworks from Germany and spent a good amount of time there, checking out the shops, eating bratwurst in a pretzel roll, and of course having a few pints of beer.
 ILLUMINATIONS FIREWORKS AT EPCOT
Heading over to breakfast. Transportation by boat never gets old.
 CHEF MICKEY"S BREAKFAST | Day 6
 Chef Mickey's Gang
Breakfast at Chef Mickey's was fantastic! We got to meet each of the characters and get their autographs while feasting on a big buffet breakfast. The only disappointment was that Daisy was not there... especially knowing we passed her up the day before thinking we would meet her here. Anyway still a perfect way to start a day in WDW.
 DOWNTOWN DISNEY | Day 6
The Lego store was by far everyone's favorite stop. Liam even talked mom into getting him the BatCave as his prize. Ella Jo picked mini figures and a Minnie Mouse play set. We did a lot of shopping and enjoyed Goofy's candy shop. When it got too hot we hopped the bus back to swim in the pool.
Lots of fun was had down at the pool. We enjoyed swimming, soaking in the hot tub, watching the geyser and going down the slide again and again and again!!!
 OUR 10th ANNIVERSARY | October 4 2012
 ANIMAL KINGDOM | Day 7 & 8
KILIMANJARO SAFARI EXPEDITION | We made sure to head here in the morning. This experience was awesome. We enjoyed riding the open safari truck and spotting all the animals!
Liam and Mom braved Expedition Everest...the in the dark backwards roller coaster with a yeti at the end :/
The kids favorite ride on the entire trip to WDW! What a wild, wet ride... we went on it at least half a dozen times and had to ride the bus back dripping wet! | Kali River Rapids | Lunch! A much needed break! | A Bugs Life Show... Oouch! | DINOSAUR the ride
Liam had fun joking around with Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger!!
 TREE of LIFE
Festival of the Lion King | The show was so colorful and amazing. It was as good as anything I've seen on Broadway! | A definite "must see".
MICKEY'S NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY | Day 7
Meeting Captain Jack Sparrow was one of the evening's highlights. He was so funny... He even tried to steal Ella's gold necklace..The Pirates of Caribbean boat ride was a lot of fun too!
The Haunted Mansion was really spooky. Liam and Ella both liked the ride. Outside the mansion was an empty hearse. Or not? We also got to see the Halloween fireworks from over here. | THE HAUNTED MANSION
 UNDER WATER FUN
 MY VERY OWN SLEEPING BEAUTY
 WISHES FIREWORKS | DAY 8
Getting to watch the fireworks in our own private boat in front of the Magic Kingdom Castle was truly spectacular. We also got to see the Electrical Water Pageant up close and personal. It was a great way to celebrate as a family!
 BLIZZARD BEACH | Day 9
It was fun taking the chair lift up the mountain.
"The entire ocean is affected by a pebble." | Please can we go down one more time???
HOOP DEE DOO MUSICAL REVIEW | Day 9
The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is Disney's oldest running dinner show and boy was it good. We took the boat over to Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness for a late evening show. The foot-stompin' music, wild west dancing and zany comedy had us all entertained. The all you can eat fried chicken, ribs and corn bread just topped it off. It was a good way to wrap up a great trip!
Food. Food. And more food. Gotta love those Mickey treats!
Rides. Rides. And more rides! | And even in Disney we couldn't resist the giant claw!
Waking up early to head out to the airport on the Magical Express was so sad. Of course we were up very late the night before, so everyone was super tired. Liam slept on the bus and Ella slept on the plane. We did find a little time have fun and shop at Disney's EarPort. And we picked up 2 new buddies for the ride home.
GOING BACK TO NJ | Day 10
