 2012 Paris
Travelling | Dear Journal, We've just arrived! I want to visit everything Paris has to offer. The plane ride wasn't fun at all, some guy that I was forced to sit next to fell asleep on me and drooled...Gross I know. -Brianna
Journal Entry 1 first day in Paris
Paris is beautiful, people are friendly, the hotel I'm staying at is amazing and my job is paying for it. I got to tour a factory today and that was an experience to see. Children and women bent over heavy equipment. Sweaty and looking like some type of creature but inside they're human like the rest of us. Their bosses pay for someone to look over them and abuse them with whippings. If people only knew what was going on in those factories.
 Journal entry 2:
Dear Journal, I have just experienced one of Paris' luxuries and it was divine, escargot at the hotel restaurant . After a full course meal I decided to take a stroll outside and I felt guilty eating myself to death. Wanna know why? A starving factory worker was eating a can of Hobo Soup cold after working 12 hours non-stop in dusty factory.
 Journal Entry 3
Dear Journal, To get the whole feeling of Paris I went to a little shop down town and bought some French attire.!But after shopping I saw the same young worker that was eating a can of Hobo Soup hanging his clothing on a line. I started to realized the worker lives in the downtown slums called the Tenements. The majority of the workers live there. -Brianna
 FINAL THOUGTS
Dear Journal, I'm off to leave Paris today with a brand new 101 story to give my boss. Paris may look extravagant in the outside but, inside its full of eerie sights that people don't find out nor notice all too much. Well hopefully the plane ride back will be better than before. -Brianna
We enjoyed our trip amidst the rain, fog and cold windy days. We did a lot of walking and travelled long distances with our heavy backpacks... and loved it.
There was more than one occasion where we had to be resourceful and live on the streets because we missed a train or couldnt find a hostel.

Backpacking took us to many beautiful verdant places. Our granola bars kept u alive during long walks.
 Gepetto's Shop
There were many street artists who were very talented. Too bad our backpacks had no space for artwork.
 being silly
 ...and sometimes bad.
Eating gelato, meeting strangers, living in hostels, walking along coastlines, sleeping on trains, going to festivals, eating authentic foods, learning transportation systems, buying groceries; It was all a great experience, despite the rainy days, getting lost, and taking trains in wrong directions. Immersing in different cultures taught us a lot and opened our eyes to a little bit more of the world around us.
