1: Sta | It weighs 450,000 pounds! Whoa! | The Statue of Liberty is covered with 3/32 of an inch copper.Thats less than the thickness of two pennies. It gets the green color from the weather. | THE STATUE OF LIBERTY | Just the face of the statue of Liberty is over 8 feet tall
2: It is located right in the middle of Manhattan | Central park is 843 acres and two a half miles long | CENTRAL PARK
3: THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING | The building has 6,500 windows | It took 1 year and 45 days to build the Empire State Building | Five people died building the Empire State Building
4: Times Square | Times Square is famous for the annual ball drop, which rings in the new year. The ball is actually lowered down a flagpole located on top of 1 Times Square, the former offices of the New York Times. | Times Square got its name from the New York Times, which moved its offices and printing facility to Broadway and 42nd Street in 1904. The areas were previously know as Longacre Square. | The Times Square subway station is the largest and busiest subway station in the New York City Transit System. The station is served by 11 subway lines.
5: Rockefeller Center | The annual Christmas tree is very popular. The tree is between 75 and 90 feet and takes over 5 miles of lights to decorate | Tons of people visit Rockefeller Center every year. An estimated million people walk through it every year!
6: Brooklyn Bridge | The bridge took 14 years to complete | 20 of 600 workers were killed during accidents while building this bridge | The bridge is a total of 5989 ft
7: Chrysler building | This was building was the first building to top the Eiffel Tower in Paris | The Chrysler building is one thousand forty six feet tall. | The Chrysler building took one year and eight months to build
8: The Bronx Zoo has around 4000 animals | The zoo is about 265 acres | The Bronx Zoo is the largest Metropolitan zoo in the United States
