17: May Day Call | Our 2ndNight on the Ship, around midnight the Captain received a May Day Call . We were the closest ship, so we set out to help a 50-70 ft . pleasure yacht . with a father & son on board . . . They had lost all power. It took us an hour to reach them, and our ship positioned itself to block them from the wind., while they waited for the Spanish Rescue Unit . At 0530, they were rescued and their yacht was transported to Spain .
