FC: Road Trip 2009
1: ROAD TRIP 2009 In June of 2009, we loaded up the car and headed north along the California coastline. Our goal was to go as far as the California/Oregon border. We planned to take the 101 and 1 north, then cut over to San Francisco and take the 5 the rest of the way home. There was definitely some great scenery and this was the first time any of us had been north of San Francisco. Beautiful country! As we took one winding road from the 101 to the 1 it became a little overwhelming as I started to feel nauseated - and I was driving. And all of the trees! We went through a lot of small towns that seemed to draw their livelihoods from the trees. All in all, it was a good trip and we had a lot of fun being together as we went through Big Tree country. The boys can't wait to do it again!

12: There was a beautiful view from this part of the road. We even saw Hawk-n-vultures and over-its. A rare sight, indeed. We couldn't stay long as we were constantly trying to stay ahead of the crazy lumber truck drivers.
