Lucy- Enjoy all of the adventures that await you! We'll all miss you. - Susan | Things not to do in retirement: 1. Don't drink and drive - instead stay parked and pretend. 2. Don't drink Coors Light if the mountains on the can are not blue unless you are really thirsty. 3. Don't ride a Harley with flip flops and shorts unless you are on Daytona Beach. Enjoy your retirement. I was looking for casino quotes on my computer for you, but OCPS blocked it for some reason. I have always admired your outlook on life, and enjoyed your sense of humor. I wish you the best in all that you do. - Sammie
Lucille, I have a few more guitars than are in this picture. I wish I could retire now so I could have time to play them all. You sure are the lucky one. I can't wait.... We sure will be missing you though! I hope you enjoy your retirement song. All our love, Tammy, Bailey, Sophie, and Bella P.S. Send me some Lucille pictures when you get a chance email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
When you're trying to be so good, or just trying to go home. When you're walking on the street, or trying to keep your seat. When you're walking on the floor, or walking out the door. When you're at the breakfast table, still very young and able. When you're trying to make a buck, hoping for good luck, riding in your car, playing your guitar...I would not feel so all alone... | There is a road, no simple highway, Between the dawn and the dark of night, And if you go, no one may follow, That path is for your steps alone. Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me; other times i can barely see. lately it occurs to me what a long, strange trip it's been.
Well...Ms. Lucille, I have enjoyed getting to know you these last couple years and stopping by your desk for a quick laugh from "The Tales of Grandma Funny". I could depend on you to make me chuckle or giggle no matter what the topic. Have an INCREDIBLE time in your travels - I know you will set a new world record of "frequent flier miles". Take care and God bless!!!! Dana
"Not all those who wander are lost." - J.R.R. Tolkien Have fun and enjoy this new road in your life! Love and best wishes, Anna Yanes
We will miss you!! | Far, far, and away... We will be thinking of you enjoying all you have worked for. Love, Patti
Lucy! COME BACK! You are the driving force for HH - we can't do it without you! What an adventure we've had! Working with you has been the experience of a lifetime. I wouldn't trade one day - ok - maybe if I won the lottery, I would consider it. You have taught me many things, the most important is to never take the high road in your own life AND always wear clean underwear! Love ya, Bev
retirement | My Dearest Lucy, I was traveling off the beaten path one day and ended up at HHS...you have trained me up. I get the jokes!! (Most of them...well, some of them) As you get to the fork, always take the road less traveled. Love, Elly May the road rise up to meet you May the wind always be at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face; The rains fall soft upon your fields and May God hold you in the palm of His hands. -Celtic Blessing
"It will be difficult to track down some of you. You might be climbing Mount Everest for the summer and you know how bad cell phone reception is up on those mountains! Or diving for pearls in the Indian Ocean...bad reception there also!" Lucille - We better not hear those excuses from you for not keeping in touch!
The last check of the mail bin, 2nd floor of Fort Gatlin, in her office she hears her phone ring. She picks up the hand set, this mystified brunette, and smiles without saying a thing. When the caller's voice hits her, she says I'm no quitter, if I could hear all that he said to her. I'm all packed for leaving, Sir please stop the pleading, thanks for calling, goodbye, Mr. Blocker. Chorus You picked a fine time to leave us Lucille. Your plans for retiring , well they just ain't ideal. You know we love you, and you know we'll miss you, you must know how bad we all feel. You picked a fine time to leave us Lucille. Now Lucille has run taxi cabs up in New York City, and she loves everything about cats. Soon she'll be living in the lap of luxury. At Stephanie's she'll have her own flat. Now she's heard it all coming, over that phone, from sick kids to ones who just gave birth. Once Lucie was asking young'n, "So you've just delivered? Was it regular or did you have a Sicilian?" Chorus Now I know you'll be ramblin', to every corner of this world, the finest of foods you'll be fed. Could have your own place in Europe, you'll feel like you're at home. You won't even miss your own bed. If you ever get weary of all that traveling, you can spend all your time in the States. Of all the great things life's giving, you'll really be living, as a groupie of the Grateful Dead. Chorus
