16: Just past the pier there is a public beach Playa Linda, with restaurants for locals but it is pretty much deserted. On the way there is a little market where you can buy all your souvenirs. 25: We kayaked across the ocean to the Island & found a few exotic fish including a puffer fish & a sea urchin, When the guide spotted some jelly fish he called off the snorkeling.

34: Our beaches were littered with jellyfish on March 10th and the great earthquake hit Japan March 11th , We were given the warning that a tsunami would would reach us also and to stay off the beach and to take refuge in the hotel.. They had set up emergency areas and many people didn't leave their rooms. The tide had gone out and come back up significantly and that was all, no rushing wall of water 200 mph...

40: We had lots of activities to keep us busy, gun range, board games room, ping pong, water games, mini gulf,, snorkeling, kayaking, catamaran tour, seadooing, parachuting, horseback riding,bus rides to the city were available and inexpensive, there was a concert hall and sports arena, as well as entertainment every night.. Thats just to mention a few of the ones I remember..

46: For under a dollar we traveled by bus to Zihuatanejo, Russ had to check out where the movie "Shawshank Redemption" was filmed.

51: They canceled our Catamaran tour three times, so we were very happy to have signed up at the beginning of the trip as they pushed us back a few days after the jellyfish and tsunami alert.

64: It was really hot the day we had to leave on the bus to Ixtapa airport , then off to Manzanillo where we sat on the tarmac awaiting the other passengers, as it was, it took us all day from 10am - 10pm.
