The essence of this commitment is the taking of another person in his or her entirety as lover, companion and friend. It is therefore not a decision which is entered into lightly, but rather undertaken with great consideration and respect. | Marriage is one of the most important obligation any two people commit to in their lifetime. Marriage offers the greatest challenges to overcome, but in return marriage offers love, strength and support from each other. It is the couple that perseveres and demonstrates unrelenting patience and faith who obtain the highest form of happiness within their marriage. | A good marriage is dependent upon many factors but the first prerequisite is a strong bond of friendship and respect for one another. Your love for each other will grow stronger with the passing of each day, but genuine liking for each other, the willingness to accept each other's strong and weak points with understanding and respect is the foundation for a strong marriage. | We are joyfully assembled today to witness and celebrate the joining of two lives in marriage. Dava and Calvin have asked us to be with them and to rejoice with them in the making of this important commitment.
Calvin, Do you take Dava, to be your lawful wedded wife, do you promise to faithfully love her, for better or for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, will you love her and honor her, as long as you both shall live? Dava, Do you take Calvin, to be your lawful wedded husband, do you promise to faithfully love him, for better or for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, will you love him and honor him, as long as you both shall live?
A circle is the symbol of the sun, the earth, and the universe, of wholeness perfection, peace and unity. Like circles, your rings have no beginning and no end. They are tokens of the growing relationship you have come here to celebrate and confirm. Heavenly Father, as we are gathered here today in celebration of the marriage of Dava and Calvin, we ask that you bless these rings and may their marriage be blessed with peace, love and prosperity in all things.
"With this ring I thee wed and offer a token of our everlasting love."
"Dava and Calvin, may your marriage make a home where neither person is a stranger. Let it offer illumination and growth. Let it bask in the joy of giving and the excitement of discovery, let it be large enough to endure the darkness of all things. Please unite your candles, lighting a single flame as you are united as one in marriage."
"Husband and Wife"... The happiest day of my life... | "By virtue of the authority vested in me, I, as an ordained minister, pronounce you husband and wife. May I present to you,,, Calvin and Dava Cummings."
