5: Home is a concept that’s a little bit strange, Between a place and a feeling, somewhere in that range. This used to be my home, we’d play in the sand, But now it’s no more than another piece of land. We’d walk down the street, mom, my sisters and me. We’d run on the beach and swim in the sea. But those are just memories, the Poe Ave. house is long sold, And home’s where the heart is, or so I’ve been told. This means that my home is now wandering with you, Until we find a place to grow beyond two. Whether on the cold streets of Boston or this very beach, Our future together is well within our reach. You’re the rock that supports me and we mostly have fun. You’ve always stood by me, when others would have run. I keep you awake and you keep me sane, We share all of our love and all of our pain. So this is your last gift for this Christmas season, I bought the champagne for a completely different reason. 'Cause we’re not just celebrating a New Year, but a new life, Now I have a question to ask you, “Will you be my wife?”

20: “Oh! Love,” they said, “is King of Kings, And Triumph is his crown. Earth fades in flame before his wings, And Sun and Moon bow down.” But that, I knew, would never do; And Heaven is all too high. So whenever I meet a Queen, I said, I will not catch her eye. “Oh! Love,” they said, and “Love,” they said, “The gift of Love is this; A crown of thorns about thy head, And vinegar to thy kiss!” But Tragedy is not for me; And I’m content to be gay. So whenever I spied a Tragic Lady, I went another way. And so I never feared to see You wander down the street, Or come across the fields to me On ordinary feet. For what they’d never told me of, And what I never knew; It was that all the time, my love, Love would be merely you. Rupert Brooke
21: Love is a temporary madness; it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being in love, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.
