S: Megan & Andrew - March Nineteenth Two Thousand and Eleven

FC: Megan & Andrew - 03.19.2011

1: Ceremony Script We are here today to participate in a most joyous occasion, to celebrate one of the greatest moments in life, by acknowledging the wedding of Andrew and Megan. Today they proclaim their love, and our joy and thoughts are with them. Andrew and Megan please face each other and hold each other’s hands in your own, so you may feel the gift that you are to each other. These are the hands of your partner, young and strong and full of love for you, that hold yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever. Andrew and Megan, these hands will be your armor and shield against the evils of the world. These are the hands that will reach out, first to each other, and then united, will spread your love to all they touch. These are the hands that will always be held by one another, will one day teach your own children, and will be a sign to friends and strangers alike as to the strength of your love. Andrew, will you in the presence of God give yourself to Megan to be her husband: to love her, comfort her, honor and protect her; and forsaking all others, to be faithful to her so long as you both shall live? I will. Megan will you in the presence of God give yourself to Andrew to be his wife: to love him, comfort him, honor and protect him; and forsaking all others, to be faithful to him so long as you both shall live? I will. I Andrew take you Megan to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward; For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for as long as we both shall live. This is my solemn vow. I Megan take you Andrew to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward; For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for as long as we both shall live. This is my solemn vow. At this time I ask those who are holding on to the rings to please present them. Dear friends, Let us ask god to bless these rings. That they may be a symbol of the vow and covenant Andrew and Megan have made this day. By the giving and receiving of rings, let us remember that the circle is the symbol of eternity and it is our prayer that their love and happiness will be as unending as the rings which you exchange. Andrew as you place this ring on Megan’s finger please repeat after me: Megan, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, with all that I am and all that I have. I will honor you. Megan please take this ring, put it on Andrews finger and repeat after me: Andrew, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, with all that I am and all that I have. I will honor you. These rings mark the beginning of a long journey together, wear them proudly, as they are symbols which speak of the love that you have for each other. The engagement ring is a symbol of promise and intention. Now the intention is realized and the promise fulfilled. Andrew, please place the engagement ring on Megan’s finger over her wedding band to symbolize that the love that brought you together will always protect and sustain your marriage. As you stand beside the ocean tide, may your love always be as constant as these never-ending waves that pour near your feet, flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea; Your love came softly upon each other’s heart, just as the foam comes softly upon the sand, and just as there will never be a morning without the ocean's flow, so there will never be a day without love for each other. You have pledged yourselves on this day your love will be as dependable as the tide; as these waters nourish the earth and sustain life, may your constant devotion nourish and sustain you. I now ask that the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom step forward. The sand poured by your mothers is the foundation of your lives and marriage. Will each mother please pour a layer of sand into the empty container. To symbolize this union and the importance of the individuals within the marriage, the two separate colors of sand are combined. Each one holds its own unique beauty, strength, and character. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. Please pour the sand into this common container to symbolize the union of your lives. Andrew and Megan, just as these grains of sand can never be separated, so will your marriage be a molding of your individual personalities, bonded together forming one heart, one life, and one family. Friends and Family, Andrew and Megan have demonstrated in your presence today their belief in their love and their desire to live together as Husband and Wife. If you also believe in their love, and wish to add your blessing upon their marriage today, please respond now by saying WE DO. And are you willing to sustain and strengthen this marriage, by giving Andrew and Megan the public commitment of your love and support, through all the ups and downs ahead of them If you are willing, please say . WE ARE. Let us bow our heads in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, Please surround Andrew and Megan with your love and peace as they being this new chapter of their life. May their home be filled with your love, and joy. Keep them close to you always. Keep them ever faithful to each other and to you, just as you are ever faithful to those who love and serve you. In the name of the Son, Jesus Christ, Amen We who are present today, hope that the inspiration of this moment will never be forgotten. May the love you share continue to grow, and may the happiness you bring to each other be a continuing part of your life together. May you continue to laugh often and enjoy each other every day. May the people you come to know also know how much you love one another and may you love one another forever. Andrew and Megan, having witnessed your vows of marriage with all who are assembled here, and by the authority vested in me, I announce with great joy that you are husband and wife. You may seal your vows with a kiss. With Friends and Family, along with the sun, the sand, and the sea, it is my honor to present to you, for the first time as husband and wife; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew and Megan Hunt.
