Our Wedding | Seeing that no moment is without meaning, no undertaking is without significance, no individual is of such quality as to be diminished by an enterprise as important as marriage.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
Compassion Usually, our concept of compassion or love refers to the feeling of closeness we have with our friends and loved ones. Sometimes compassion also carries a sense of pity. This is wrong. Any love or compassion which entails looking down on the other is not genuine compassion. To be genuine, compassion must be based on respect for the other and on the realization that other have the right to be happy and overcome suffering just as much as you. On this basis since you can see that others are suffering, you develop a genuine sense of concern for them. H.H. The Dalai Lama
Honoring | Mothers plant so their children may harvest. Mothers cry when their children hurt. Mothers welcome pain and burden to give their sons and daughters the git of life. Russell and Lauren will now present their mothers with roses, as symbols of eternal gratitude for their unconditional love, their unyielding strengths in times of hardship and for all selfless sacrifices they have made for their children.

I promise to love you to be a comfort and safe haven in your life, to hold you close, to listen deeply when you are sad or angry, to learn compassion with you, to nourish you with gentleness, to uphold you with my strength, to love you completely as you age, to weigh the effects of the words I speak and of the things I do. To never take you for granted, but always give thanks for your presence.
