BC: Scars are like memories, and tattoos. When you fall, when your heart breaks, and when your best friend turns her back on you, it leaves a scar that can hurt every-time you think about it. It's a memory that is stuck in your head. It's in the past, but it comes back and bites. It's a tattoo because its a memory that hurts, but doesn't disappear. It never does. When you see it so vividly, you sometimes regret what led to the scar that is a memory that leaves an imprint in your life's history.

I have experienced many challenges that vary from very difficult to just a moderate challenge. My family is a very mixed family, of adopted kids and birth kids, I am the oldest living at home and I have six younger siblings. I have had a difficult life by being taken away from my parents in 2003 with my three sisters. I was put into a foster home for four years then I was adopted in 2008 my two little sisters were adopted with me and my older sister moved to the states. I was in a new family in a new town, knowing only my two younger sisters. Within another two and a half years my parents adopted three boys to go with the four kids they already had. That was a hardship, the oldest of the boys was aggressive and controlling, but now he is sweet and gentle. So most of the challenges that I have had to face I went head on into them and came up on top.

I like many things, such as working hard, and helping people. I enjoy working with children and their parents. I dislike many other things, including: dishonesty, disrespecting people and their environment, and laziness.

I am gifted in sciences and math; I wish to become a pediatrician, so that I can help children with their medical problems. I love to spend time with kids, and I have a way with speaking to them as though they are my equal, because in my mind every person is equal, no matter their age, gender, sexual orientation or race.

My mentor would be my Drama teacher, Mrs.Yamaoka. She has taught me to express myself in a new way, to get over my shyness and show who I am, through acting. She is one of my favourite people to be around she is always upbeat and helpful.

What you get by achieving your goal is not as important as what you become by achieving your goal.
