2: Letter 1 | September 22, 2011 | Dearest Cellvis, I saw your cute picture on match.com and I thought I'd check you out. I am a Eukaryotic plant cell (I am very complex and I have a Nucleus and Mitochondria). As a plant cell, a have Choloroplasts that capture light energy and store my food and a cell wall that guards me. Letter me back if you're interested! Love, Cecillia

I don't have chloroplasts or a cell wall, but instead I have Centrioles, Lysosomes, a Cell Membrane and a smaller Vacuole. Tell me more about yourself. 7: Me, Cellvis | Animal Cell | My cell membrane protects me from the outside environment. It lets the chemical environment inside me be different than the one outside of me.

8: Cecillia's cell structures | The Nucleolus is in the center of the Nucleus and it is where Ribosomes are made. | The Nucleus controls the plant cell and contains DNA. | Ribosomes produce protein for the cell. | The Mitochondria converts energy into forms that are usable by me. | Golgi Apparatus does the packaging and exporting of me, and it modifies proteins and lipids.

9: Letter 3 | Dearest Cellvis, I am so happy that you responded! Also, to answer your question, I have many other organelles that you don't know about. I have Ribosomes, a Nucleus,Golgi Apparatus, a Nucleolus, and Mitochondria. Did you know that Robert Hooke discovered us cells? 10: Centrioles guide spindle fibers to split chromosomes during mitosis. | Cytoskeleton supports me and gives me structure. | Microtubules help support and shape me. They also function as routes along which organelles can move, and they make spindle fibers which are used in mitosis. | The Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum is smooth because it doesn't have Ribosomes attached to it. This organelle detoxifies me from drugs and alcohols, and it stores calcium. | My Lysosomes contain digestive enzymes that break down proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, and carbohydrates. | Cellvis' Cell Structures

11: Letter 4 | Hey Cecillia, Robert Schwann was the first to discover us animal cells. Virchow was the first to find that all cells are made from old cells. This reminds me of the cell theory, all living things are made of cells, cells are the basic unit of structure and function in an organism, and new cells are made from pre-existing cells. And I have those organelles you mentioned, too! But I also have Centrioles, Cytoskeleton, Microtubules, Lysosome, and Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum. From, Cellvis | October 1, 2011
