5: Introduction What does my senior year mean to me? It means that I have finally reached the highest level of maturity, and that we, the class of 2010, can finally claim SENIORITY! We can finally get those little perks over all of the underclassmen. As a matter of fact, I feel so close to graduation that I can almost see myself walking across the James Brown Arena stage and collecting my well earned diploma. In my mind the crowd is yelling wildly, and my dad is whistling in the background and shouting "This is the last one." Even in my wildest dreams I still can not believe that the final chapter of my high school career is already here. This means that there will soon be the coming of college, knowledge, and the saying of my goodbyes to everyone that I used to know. So, as I grow older I want to be able to look back on all of the great things that these last four years have shown me. To begin with, I will remember all of the drama that happened at lunch during my first year of high school. This was also where I met all of those crazy people that I call friends today. Also, although we did not know it then, we would all soon learn to love and remain close to each other for years to come. As my sophomore year rolled by school started to get the best of me and my friendships. We all started to argue and we began to notice that we were all one big group that was divided into three equal but different groups. Each of us knew that this was occurring, but we all still loved one another. My junior year, as I recall, was when my friends and I had the best times of our lives. We would hang out at Wally's before every football game, because we were in the band. and just have a

6: blast every football game. While we were there my friends and I would take ridiculous pictures of each other, read our horoscopes, and eat hot dogs until we had to walk back to the band room and get ready for the big game. During this two hour wait for the game to start everyone would be pumped up and hyper, because when you are in the band you know that the football games are the best. Each and everyone of us band nerds know that playing in the band is even better than a little vacation in Hawaii's lovely city of Waikiki and staying in the luxurious Mariott Hotel for seven days. Band is so much more than that to me, and on a serious note all of my experiences as a band student have been more than great. I especially love the hard work and dedication that is put into the competition shows. Life was great as a junior slash up and coming senior in band. We always knew how to have a blast no matter where we went. None of my friends cared about what the 2009 seniors thought about us. We were just there to have fun and to forget about responsibility. One day I even remember saying that I would be better than all of the seniors before me when it was my turn. But in reality, when a person thinks back on their past, they remember that some of the things that they said would happen never came true. So now, as I sit here today writing to my future self and you, I will remember that i may not have been better than the seniors ahead of me, but I sure am making much more of a difference while I am still here. Sincerely, Kia Barr

He was asking Ryan if he knew who it belonged to, and at that exact moment I shouted "I have the same exact camera." So,Mr. Fischer asked where it was. Then I felt my velcro pocket, and it wasn't there. I must have had a really crazy look on my face, because Mrs. Hall could not stop laughing. So, the two of them took a picture on my camera and said that I would have to pay them $45 just to get it back. | He also took a few pictures of his own before returning the camera to me.
