FC: 2010 Western Thoracic Surgical Assoc | J. Scott Millikan, MD - President
Mom & Dad flew to Billings a week early to help us get ready to go. We all flew to Ojai California together. The little boys were so excited!
The 2010 WTSA was held at the Ojai Valley Inn, Ojai CA
Swimming in the pool was great fun. Tyler and Cory made lots of new friends at the pool. There was a group of girls who were about 12-14 year old, young and pretty. Every time we'd enter the pool complex and they were swimming, they'd yell, "Tyler and Cory are here!!"
The meeting kicked off with the New Members Reception at the Lavender Pool
 Handsome boys!
You were so excited to wear your new suits. Everyone gushed over how cute you looked all dressed up "like Dad". | Getting ready for the Presidential Address
 Scott's Presidential Address
It was great having Scott's brothers, Jeff and Kevin, along with their spouses, attend our special week.
Oh how you love it when Papa or Daddy throw you up in the air!! The giggles could be heard blocks away.
WTSA Theme Night - We chose "Taste of Ojai" and a festive street market setting
The clowns and magicians had you totally captivated. It was fun to watch you have such a great time.
This was an interesting time for us, because for the first time, you preferred to be with some of the young, pretty teenage girls at the meeting, rather than your family. Those girls couldn't get enough of you, and you just 'ate it up'.
You are the cutest little Batmans I have ever seen!
The next "First Lady", Shannon Cohen.
Ryan flew all the way from Dubai to be with us at this meeting. It was a 17 hour direct flight from Dubai to LAX plus the drive time from LAX to Ojai. This picture was taken the moment he "arrived" at the WTSA. Cory was one of the first people to see him walking down the hill to the Theme Night festivities. He was SOOO happy to see his big brother, Ryan. In usual form, Ryan put 110% into his time with us, even though he was 11 hours off his time zone and completely exhausted . I can only remember one day where he slept unusually late. Most of the time he was right there to partake in the activities and celebrate in his Father's accomplishments. It meant so much to us.
For some reason, Scott wanted to sing to me, with the musicians who were strolling at the Theme Night.
There is one free evening at the WTSA so we took the opportunity to host a private dinner for family and special friends. About 20 of us sat outside along a stream in Ojai to enjoy the evening.
Let's see,... between Tyler and Cory, ... that's about 95 pounds of love Ryan's holding there!
The last night of the WTSA is always the Presidential Banquet. We were on cloud nine after a spectacular week. It was magnificent seven days that we will never forget. But we were also sort of ready to see it come to an end. The next day we boarded a plane to Hawaii and spent a week there, catching our breath, and reminiscing about the many once-in-a-lifetime moments that this special week bestowed on us. The best of which, was that all our family was there, to share in these magical days of 2010.
