FC: David, Amy, Jaxon & Drew
We are David and Amy. We would like to start by expressing our respect, admiration, and thanks for your courage right now. We are excited that you would consider us as loving parents for your child and we hope that this book will give you an understanding of who we are.
The natural BEAUTY of southern Thailand was stunning. | David has blonde hair and blue eyes. His height is 5'11" and his weight is 135. He is 34 years old and graduated from the University of Evansville with a degree in Civil Engineering. | David is a part owner in a marine business. The business builds barges and tow boats, along with doing marine construction. He usually works 40-50 hours per week, and is usually home by 5:00 pm.
Amy has blondish-brown hair and blue eyes and weighs 120 lbs. She is 34 years old and graduated from high school. | Amy is a stay at home mom and plans to continue to stay at home.
Amy's thoughts on David: | It is hard for me to put into words the man David is. First he is a godly man. David is very protective of his family and wants only what is best for them. He serves and gives his time with a giving heart. He is a wonderful father to our two boys. He spends time with them and supports them in their hobbies. He is always thinking of things we can do together as a family. David enjoys working outside in his shop on "man stuff", traveling, snowboarding, golfing & riding ATV's.
THE MOUNTAIN TEMPLE, WAT ARAT | November 8 | David's thoughts on Amy: Amy has a servant's heart. She is always thinking of others and their needs before her own. Amy is a devoted wife. She has sacrificed many things in order for David to succeed in business. Amy deeply loves our children and wishes them to succeed in anything they put their minds too. Lastly, but most importantly, she loves the Lord. She desires to please Him and seeks His will for our lives in everything we do. Amy enjoys exercising, running, shopping and anything we do together as a family.
Our Home Joshua 24:15 "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
We live on 80 acres in Southern Indiana. Our home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Our nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile away. Where we live is rural, but we do have a grocery store about 5 miles away, a WalMart about 15 miles away, and a shopping mall about 40 miles away. Both of our families lives close by, David's parents are about 4 miles away and Amy's parents are about 15 miles away. Our relationship with David's parents is very strong and we spend a lot of time together. Amy's relationship with her parents has its struggles. We do spend time with them on holidays.
Jaxon (left) is 10 years old and Drew(right) is 8 years old. Jaxon attends public school and Drew is home schooled. Jaxon is very calm and quiet. Drew on the other hand is very energetic and loves to joke around. We say he is our comedian. Both boys enjoy riding dirt bikes, swimming, going to amusement parks, camping, and playing with friends. Jaxon also plays soccer. Both boys are very excited to have a sibling.
KRABI, SOUTH END | November 9 | Some of the places we traveled this past year were: Disney World, Cincinnati, Ohio, a motor-cross race at Indianapolis,& Michigan. We also love going to Breckenridge, Colorado.

SWALLOW CAVES BY MAYA BAY | November 14 | These are some of the things we enjoy: bowling, skating and snowboarding. We love to travel and to do things as a family. Doing and experiencing things together as a family is very important to us.
"The entire ocean is affected by a pebble." | I feel like there is so much about us that I have not covered. We want you to have the best understanding as to who we are. David and Amy met in high school. David was a senior and Amy a junior. We dated for one year in high school and broke up when David went to college, then got back together when he graduated from college. We dated for about 2 years and were married and have been for 10 years. We have two sons, Jaxon and Drew. We love the Lord and He comes first in our lives. We raise our children and want to raise your child in a godly home teaching them the truths of God's word. One of our favorite places to go is Breckenridge, Colorado. We also like to travel with our camper. This past year we went to Florida, Michigan, and Tennessee. Amy enjoys running and runs a half marathon every year for St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. We make this a family trip and spend a couple nights in Memphis. We know that children are a gift from the Lord and never take it for granted. We have felt God calling us to grow our family. We started the adoption process in 201o, starting in international adoption then feeling God calling us to move to domestic adoption. During this time Amy had to have a hysterectomy because of endometriosis. We feel it is very important to support our children in the hobbies and sports that they choose to do. Jaxon plays soccer and we love to go and cheer him on at his games. He also loves to draw, so we really encourage and praise him for his artwork. Drew loves music and likes to write songs. He has a guitar and he will sit in his room playing his guitar, writing and singing songs. We are involved in our church. We are youth group leaders and we both serve on the board. Our hope is this book clearly shows you who we are. It is hard to write and ask you to place your child into our family. We want to thank you for allowing us to even be considered and pray you are comforted and have peace and wisdom through this trial in your life. With much love, David & Amy
