1: Anglo-Saxon Men BY:Courtney Ellis

2: They were pagans when they first settled in Britain.They worshiped certain gods of nature.

3: During pagan times it was very unlikely for there to be no church. They attended church reguarly. The priest was no different from your everyday man.The local priest would only collect tithes at a certain time each year.

4: The men played important roles in the Saxon life.They kept things together.They were the hunters and blacksmith. | Anglo-Saxons

5: Vikings sailors/Warrior | The warriors were required to have nautical skills and battle experience. TO be a hero you had to be a warrior.You couldn't be afraid of death.Warriors had to be intelligent and courageous. If you didn't avenge a family member death then you were considered a disgrace to Anglo culture

6: Mens Clothes | Anglo-Saxon men wore cloaks and capes. Most were made of sheep skin | When going to war there attire was made from either metal or iron | They also wore tunics and headgear. Belts were worn to hold up the tunics and trousers

7: Jobs | The men had several jobs. there was a stones mason,a fisher a blacksmith.The bone worker and etc... | The stones mason had to have excellent carving skills.They were in charge of making most of the cooking wear. As well as the potter. | The leather worker was in charge of making shoes,bags belts and several other things

8: The middle class was three different classes of freemen. The middle class was also known as the ceorls. | The lower class Anglo Saxons were the slaves. Also known as the theow.Although the slave were at the bottom of the social strata they were allowed to buy there own property. Most men sol themselves into slavery when times would get hard.

9: King The Anglo-Saxon king should be a man of great heroism. He had to have great accomplishments in war,and be very close to the church. The king was at the top of the social strata. He could not be a greedy man he had to share some of his royalties with his thanes. It is said that if the king didn't provide his followers with great opportunities then he might end up dead.Despite his great deal of power the king could could not make new laws he had to follow the ways of the leaders before him
