1: Demi Davis Mr.Paul 2nd period Due- 2/8/10

2: Daily Life -what a women does all day depends on her social status, as well as regional and period differences. -Men where hunters and warriors, while women where cloth makers and embroider. -food was prepared by male slaves alone or men equally but pre-paving serving drinks was a womens job. -gardening was done by laywomen.

3: -Women had it better in these times than later times they could own there own property. -She could rule a kingdom if her husband died.

4: -Marriage arrangements were made between two families. -Women were not to be married without their consent in this area; "she wore the pants" -The word friendship was also used for relationship between a husband and wife. -Although in the society the most important person was the ring giver. -Everyone in the community knew about others affairs marriages were public | Marriage

5: - | Family Duties | -Saxon women did not typically show there children love and affection as in this picture. -A reason for this is because they did not know how long the child would live. --Men didn't always believe that the baby was his . therefore he didn't take on responsibility with the child, But did for his sisters, he can be sure his sisters baby is related to him rather than his own child. -

6: -The children was seen as "miniature adults" -There are traces of human munks and oblates. -Although oblates always had to have an adult with them . for "supervision" they called the adult master. -It seems that children who were oblates would have it worse than other children but they didn't child slavery was common. -Poor parents sold there babies for money to be put into slavery. | Children's Roles

7: Laws Made For Children | -Despite everything that was going on there where some people concerned about the well being if kids. -All the children where to be supported by their father. and watched by anything they did. -All children where kept all for those with disabilities. -

9: Anglo saxon women where like the women in a century by ways of taking care of there kids and doing work around the house . Family comes first to women no matter what day and age it is .

10: Clothing The clothes was completley different women wore long robes in order to cover there body and head wraps to cover there head showed respect for themselves and pride,
