FC: Arthur "Boo" Radley
1: There were two live oaks stood at the end of the Radley lot; their roots reached into the side-road and made it bumpy. Something about one of the trees attracted my attention. Then I saw the shadow. It was the shadow of a man with a hat on. At first I thought it was a tree, but there was no wind blowing, and tree trunks never walked. The back porch was bathed in moonlight, And the shadow, crisp and toast, moved across the porch towards Jem. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view-until you climb into his skin and walk around in it. I think I'm beginning to understand why Boo Radley's stayed shut up in the house all this time. It's because he wants to stay inside.'Thank who?' I asked.'Boo Radley. You were so busy looking at the fire you didn't know it when he put the blanket around you.' Father had said I'd rather you shoot at tin cans in the backyard, but I know you'll go after birds. Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit 'em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird.
2: Arthur is a very noble name meaning as strong as a bear. In history, those who were named Arthur were powerful leaders like King Arthur who was a British leader. This shows he does have these qualities about him, but people don't want to know him well enough to see them. Boo is normally used as a word associated with scaring people. It is the common word to say, and people call him this sense they are terrified of him. However, he never has really done anything wrong to make people think this. Radley means meadow which can also be a peaceful place. He does have a calmness to him and cares about others, but again people don't let him show this side. It also represents the innocence of him compared to everyone else corrupt in the world.
