FC: How Gingers Came to Be
Once Upon A Time There was a noble knight named Thaddeus who became the first ginger in all of history.
Thaddeus was an exemplary knight who gave service to his king by joining his fellow knights in battle and doing the lowliest of chores around the castle. | Unfortunately for Thaddeus, his shimmering white hair is always being shaved off in battles or becoming filthy working in the garden.
His wife Addison loved him but is becoming upset that his hair always became a wreck. One day Addison suggests that he go up to the wizard's tower and ask for the Wizard to grant him invincible hair. | In being faithful to his wife, Thaddeus ascended to the Wizard's tower the very next day in hope that his hair would become indestructible. When he got there the Wizard agreed to his wish but Thaddeus had to do a small favor in return.
Thaddeus had to climb to the cave on top of the tallest mountain in the land and slay the dragon that resided there. Respecting the knights code of conduct he agreed. | Thaddeus went to bid a temporary farewell to Addison telling her that he had been granted his invincible hair but that he must slay the dragon in the cave atop the tallest mountain.
Later that night Thaddeus equipped himself with all the weaponry and armor he could mount on his back. The next morning he sent out to ascend up the tallest mountain and into the cave.. | By the time he had reached the cave it the time was nearly midnight, so the mighty dragon was drifting off to sleep.
Thaddeus drew his sword and was about to lunge its razor sharp end into the dragon’s belly just as the dragon awoke and dodged the blade. | The dragon rocketed fire from its mouth burning Thaddeus' hair, but Thaddeus was unharmed because his magnificent hair could not damaged.
After the blast had ended Thaddeus' hair was no longer shimmering white, but blazing orange. | He knew he would not last the night with this dragon because the first blast of fire was so intense Thaddeus almost died of heatstroke, but then something happened that amazed Thaddeus.
The dragon not only spoke but also had apologized for what he had done and wished to become friends. | Thaddeus accepted the offer and invited the dragon to come back to his castle with him. The dragon was overjoyed and returned with Thaddeus.
From that moment on, the dragon became Thaddeus' noble steed in the air. Since the duo arrived in the middle of the night no one was awoken, even Addison. | The next morning every soul throughout the kingdom cringed in terror when they saw the mighty sleeping dragon sleeping outside the stables.
Addison went to wake Thaddeus saying the castle was in danger, so he suited up in his armor to go defend the good people of the kingdom. | When he arrived all the knights of the king's guard were assembled to slay the incredible dragon. Thaddeus then jumped in front of all the knights saying “ stop this beast is my friend, do not slay him!”
All the knights laughed at him because they had never seen anyone with blazing orange hair. “Who are you?” they all asked. I am Thaddeus, your fellow knight. | I had attempted to slay this dragon but he befriended me. One knight of the king's guard said, "That is a charming story, but how did you wind up with orange hair?"
That's fairly easy to answer Thaddeus said. "My wife was always becoming upset when my shimmering white hair was being shaved off. She asked if I would ask the mysterious wizard to grant me invincible hair. | He granted my request but I had to slay the dragon in return. I ascended to the tallest mountain and ventured into the dragon's cave.
There he was sleeping, so I went to lunge my sword into his belly, when he woke woke up and set my hair ablaze. My hair was not damaged but was blazing orange. | After the fight, the dragon and I made peace and he has become my mighty steed in the air."
One of the townspeople asked " what do we call him if he has children with hair like his"? | A little boy spoke up and said "Ginger, we will call him and ones like him Ginger!" Thaddeus agreed to the name, and that was the magnificent story of how gingers came to be.
Thaddeus and the dragon were an amazing team defending the castle, and the townspeople adored them as heros, and everyone in the kingdom lived Happily Ever After.
