3: Bullying is the most common problem happening in most schools today. It affects students in grades 6th-10th the most. Bullying can lead up to fights, depression, suicide, and low self-esteem. Over 30% of kids get bullied each day according to statistics. They also found that 17% of students in grades 6th- 10th reported they had been bullied and 8% had been bullied once a week. Bullying happens because bullies want to feel better about themselves os they feel insecure and want others to feel the same way. According to nobullying.org, the way you know if someone is a bully is when they call others names, leave them out of activities, take or damage their things, threaten them, kick or hit them, and make them do things they don’t want to do. Bullies also can have problems themselves like getting abused at home or think that they are stronger then others. There are many types of bullying. Some examples are verbal, physical, sexual, cyber, and racial bullying. These can all lead up to the same results; like suicide, depression, and low self-esteem according to statistics. Studies also found that 40% of suicide victims had been bullied in school according to statistics. Today most schools prevent bullying by setting up an anti-bullying program. These programs can help kids understand that bullying is a wrong thing to do. These programs also tell them stories about bullying, make kids feel confident in themselves and can help kids who had been bullied to ignore the bullies. School are also persuading all students to join the program so that bullying doesn’t happen in their schools. Bullying is a very serious problem in schools today. The percentage of kids getting bullied has decreased since 2007 but only 3% which in not a lot according to statistics. Now there are many programs to help prevent bullying in most schools and outside of school. | Information

9: As I walk to school everyday I always feel ashamed My body always feel like Thunder and rain because Of the games they played Kids always tease me, Sometimes I think to myself Why does it have to happen to me? Why don’t bullies take a day In my shoes To feel the pain and Understand how much damage They have done to a person Sometimes in class I feel Like I am trapped in a dark tunnel With no one to talk to Or look up to I feel so ashamed Different emotions go in And out of my head Sometimes I feel like dying But life is too short to worry about What others think So I just keep my head held High But I still feel so ashamed | Poem
